COWBOY BASKETBALL 2015-16 SIGNING CLASS Cameron McGriff – 6-7, 205, SF, Grand Prairie, Texas (South Grand Prairie HS) • Unanimous four-star recruit (247Sports, ESPN, Rivals, ect.) • ESPN ranked McGriff the No. 10 player in Texas and the No. 19 small forward in the country. • Rivals.com listed the Grand Prairie, Texas native as the No. 113th ranked player in the nation. • Scout.com said McGriff is the No. 30 forward in the 2016 class. • HoopScoopOnline listed the 6-7 wing as the No. 101 player in the country. • Averaged 11.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game as a junior last season, which helped him earn first-team All-District 8-6A honors. • Chose OSU over offers from Arkansas, Creighton, Houston, Oklahoma, Miami and several others. Travis Ford on McGriff “Cameron McGriff brings versatility, a high motor and great athleticism. He has good size and can shoot the basketball, but I love how much of a competitor he is. He gets off the floor very quickly, which makes him a great rebounder. He’s a young man that can play a lot of positions for us in the coming years.” Gorjok Gak – 6-11, 205, C, Bradenton, Fla. (Victory Rock Prep) • Athletic rim-to-rim post player, who can run the floor and protect the paint. • Scout rated Gak a four-star recruit and the No. 22 center in the country in the 2016 class. • ESPN and FloridaHoops.com both list Gak as the No. 9 recruit in the state of Florida regardless of position. • Born in St. Clair, Australia, Gak attended St. Augustines in Sydney, Australia with his younger brother until he moved state- side in 2014. • Chose Oklahoma State over offers from UConn, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska and SMU among others. Ford on Gak “At 6-11, there are very few players out there that can run the floor and block shots like Gorjok. I think those are just God-given abilities that he has. He’s extremely athletic, but he has incredible timing on the court. I love Gorjok’s upside as a player here at OSU. He really understands the game of basketball, especially on the defensive side of the game. His offensive game is getting better by the day, but he will fit into our system perfectly with us losing two big men at the end of the season.” Thomas Dziagwa – 6-4, 180, G, Tampa, Florida (Tampa Catholic HS) • FloridaHoops.com ranked Dziagwa as a four-star recruit, and the No. 25 player in Florida regardless of position. • First-team All-State selection in Class 4A by the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches. • As a junior, he averaged 26.8 points and 4.5 assists per game while playing for his father, Don, at Tampa Catholic. He shot 38 percent from 3-point range and made 119 3-pointers, an average of 4.1 per game. • Helped the Crusaders reach the Class 4A region semifinals. • Tampa Bay Tribune’s All-Hillborough County first team after leading the county in scoring. • Has 1,466 career points to his credit heading into his senior season. • As a sophomore, Dziagwa still averaged 16.3 points and 4.7 assists per game. • Chose the Cowboys over offers from Florida Gulf Coast, Stephen F. Austin, South Florida, Long Beach State, and Duquesne among others. Ford on Dziagwa “Thomas is someone that really understands and knows the game because he grew up in a basketball family. I think he is one of the elite shooters in the country, and at 6-5 he brings great size. Another thing I really like about him is that he’s not afraid of competition. He’s got an edge about him. He’s a competitor. He plays on one of the best high school teams in the nation, and he plays the point guard position. So, he brings a ton a versatil- ity to our lineup.” Lindy Waters III – 6-5, 180, G, Norman, Okla. (Sunrise Christian Academy (KS)) • Ranked by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit, and was No. 117 on their list of the top 150 players in the country. • 247Sports named Waters the No. 3 player in Oklahoma and the No. 20 shooting guard in the country. • Played his junior season at Norman North High School, where he averaged 14.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game. He shot 50.3 percent from the floor. • Earned honorable-mention All-State honors by The Oklahoman, as well as first-team All-District 5. • As a sophomore, Waters poured in 14.1 points on 58.8 percent shooting from the floor, including 48.7 percent from 3-point. He also averaged 9.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. • Chose to play for the Cowboys over offers from Butler, Cincinnati, Clemson, Harvard, Houston, Iowa State, and Oklahoma among others. Ford on Waters “Lindy Waters is a complete basketball player. He’s a big-time shooter that really handles the ball well. I don’t think a lot of people understand how athletic he is, which makes him a nice 1-on-1 player. His best days are ahead of him. I think he’s got the potential to be a great player for us. Again, he’s a versatile player that can play a number of roles for us.”

►Reached double-digit scoring for the first time in his career against UAPB. ►First post player off the bench last year, and averaged more minutes than any of OSU reserve over the last 11 games. ►Shot 46.7 percent from the floor, which trailed only Anthony Allen (76.2 percent) and Michael Cobbins (58.2 percent) on the OSU roster. ►Showed his prowess on the offensive glass by grabbing nearly as many offensive rebounds (42) as defensive rebounds (44). ►Ignited the Gallagher-Iba Arena crowd with a momentum-changing dunk in the win over Kansas. That dunk capped an afternoon with four points, four rebounds and three steals against the Jayhawks. ►Earned a pair of starts (Southeastern Louisiana and North Texas) and was one of six players to see action in every game. ►Pulled down at least four rebounds in 10 games, and his 2.7 rebounds per game were the most of any OSU player that saw less than 27 minutes per game. ►Grabbed five rebounds against Oklahoma in Stillwater – his high against a Big 12 opponent. ►Posted five games with at least two blocks, and swatted 19 shots on the season – tied for third at OSU in 2014-15. ►Ended his freshman season with averages of 1.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game in 10.9 minutes per contest. ►Majoring in mechanical engineering.
