After more SL6 1DX wooded ups and downs we pass Painswick beacon, before descending into 9.5 miles Painswick and on to the A4173.

From the A4155 take Skirmett Road towards Hambleden village nearest stiles and the free car park is on the left after about a quarter of a mile. The walk hilly includes an attractive stretch of the Thames Path passing Temple Island, 6.5 miles then Henley, views from Remenham Hill and then crosses the weir at Hambleden Mill. Moderate 10.15 am. and Cliveden. 2 hills Start from Wooburn Park car park for a walk from Wooburn Green towards SU911 877 Bourne End to pick up ‘Beeches Way’ footpath towards Hedsor Hill. Entering HP10 0PN Cliveden Estate via Hedsor Gate. Collect voucher and register entry. Walk 6 miles through the Estate, taking in a few places you may not have visited recently - approx. seeing the glorious gardens and restoration projects. Dropping down escarpment to river path and return to Hedsor Gate via Yew Tree Walk (172 steps). On leaving Estate we will return to Wooburn Park via edge of Hedsor Estate, Woodman’s Wood and Wash Hill. NB: NT MEMBERSHIP CARDS REQUIRED!
