In this programme: Coach trips to Arundel and Petworth; the Cotswold Way; over 70 walks, with 3 Saturday walks, a picnic in the park, an evening walk and 4 Strollathons. If you opt for a Leisurely walk expect to walk more slowly than on a moderate walk. Ramble10 from SU 883 875 May one hill RfP “Along the Thames” (with a different start place). Circular walk along the SL8 5PT stiles Thames to Bourne End through Flackwell Heath and back via Fern. One 4.5 miles gradual hill and 3 or 4 stiles. Start at the free car park at Spade Oak (past the Spade Oak PH), Coldmoorholme Lane, and Well End. Leader: Alma R. 07817 607261. 10.00am. (Note time). Swyncombe celebration walk. A walk from Swyncombe of around 10 miles. Oxfordshire countryside, SU 682 902 Moderate beautiful views, on a clear day. To celebrate my birthday / retirement etc. RG9 6EA hilly Possibility of orchids. Park considerately on the road approaching St 10 miles Botolph’s Church at Swyncombe. Note there will be a Sunday service at 10am. Bring a picnic lunch and drink for the day. From Henley take the A4130 to Nettlebed. Turn right onto the B841 towards Watlington. (Note time) Cotswold Way. Stanton to Winchcombe. SU 892 799 Moderate From Stanton we walk below the escarpment to Stanway, where we climb SL6 1DX Very hilly 160 m to Stump Cross. After only a mile, we drop steeply back down to 9 miles Hailes Abbey (NT & EH, bring cards) where there is a tea shop. An undulating path leads us on to the stone village of Winchcombe. SU 739 Start at the long layby in Middle Assendon (near Rainbow PH) for a walk with 858 hilly some hills and a steep incline near the end. SL3 6DS 11th May Directions: A412 dual carriageway from Slough Sainsbury's towards 4 miles Wexham Park hospital. Pass under pedestrian bridge after c. 1 mile then Enterprise Rent a car on left. Look for brown 'Black Park ' signs indicating a left turn. Walk “On location by Pinewood studios”. Starring: squirrels, heath and woodland, flat terrain, a lake, café, toilets, gravel and maybe some mud. SU 927 789 Start Dorney Garden Centre, parking considerately at far end of car park. (Note time) Chorley Wood Common. TQ 033 966 Meet at the car park at Chorley Wood Common, just off the A404 WD3 5TL Rickmansworth Rd. A walk across the Common to Rickmansworth, through 7.5 miles fields, by lakes and on Canal Tow path. Some pavements. Bring lunch or PH can be arranged on day.
