How to get there?

The Cancun International Airport is the main gate of entrance to Riviera Maya, and it is served by all major international airlines with direct or non-stop service from many places around the world. From the airport, there are several transportation services like shuttles and taxis providing convenient and safe airport transfers to any location in the Riviera Maya. In the southeast corner of Terminal 2 there is a bus service from the airport to Playa del Carmen. The bus departs every 30 minutes from 5:00 hrs to 1:00 hrs. The trip takes about 50 minutes. Other option is to get to Cozumel Airport and take a modern ferry to Playa del Carmen.

Northern Beaches The Paradise Map

THE SECRET BEACH Wide strip of white sand with crystalline Caribbean waters considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Riviera Maya. This beach is isolated from the bustle, a perfect place to relax and enjoy a sunny day. The beach has infrastructure with solar and wind energy. There are only a dozen luxury homes, a hostel and a resort. The kind of accommodation on this beach is the camping, cabins or bungalows. The road to Playa del Secreto passes through spectacular mangroves, a unique habitat for various birds and tropical wildlife. This beautiful place is the favorite for the spawning of sea turtles and crabs nesting. In this heavenly place you can swim, snorkel, long walks and gathering shells. It is separated from El Paraíso Beach by a narrow three miles stretch.

PARADISE BEACH It is an spectacular white sandy paradise with turquoise waters, coconut tree plantations and an extraordinary just 54 yd.(50m) from the beach, one of the most recommended places to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the . Along the extensive corridor of 3 miles (5 kms) wide that separates Playa Paraiso and Playa del Secreto, you can find countless crabs and hopefully even a turtle spawning. There are several luxury all-inclusive resorts like the Iberostar, but there are also, budget bungalow accommodation. Also in the area there are two golf courses.

Punta Bete

This is another excellent option for sun and sea seekers with the striking contrast of turquoise sea, green palms and white sand. The beach is dotted with bungalows, thatch-roof restaurants and a nice luxurious jungle-beach resort, backing into dense jungle. This is a good place for camping and snorkeling. In addition to its beautiful scenery, you can visit a small archaeological ruin on the beach.

Xcalacoco

Its name means “Twin Coconuts “ in Mayan. It is located next to Punta Bete and only one kilometer from Playa del Carmen. It’s a nice place to camp and seaside restaurants with fresh fish, rustic accommodation and and more high- end choices, as well as the Grand Coral Golf Club. There are some remnants of the Mayan culture, since this was a commercial port during the pre-Hispanic period. It is a lonely and secluded beach perfect for romance.

Punta Maroma

It is a beautiful and quiet white sand beach, rated by Travel Channel as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world. Its crystal clear waters are fed from an underground river that creates a unique ecosystem in the area. It has a small marina where you can rent tours to enjoy a wide variety of activities. Once a part of a large coconut plantation, this is a real paradise. In Mayan, Akumal means “Place of the Turtles”, since this stretch of coast is a nesting ground for thousands of turtles every year.
