On the 1994 Olympic track, the team from Russia was particularly convincing, winning six medals, while Italy and Austria secured two, Germany and Latvia one European Championship medal. The 2020 European Championship titles were won, as the first Russians, by the future sprint world champions in doubles Aleksandr Denisev and Vladislav Antonov, their teammate Tatyana Ivanova in women's singles, Italy's Dominik Fischnaller in men's singles and the team relay from Austria, with Madeleine Egle, David Gleirscher and the double Steu/Koller.
