Media Ignores EPA Suppressing Global Warming Report The day before the House was to vote on the controversial energy bill destined to be the largest tax hike in American history, it was revealed that the Environmental Protection Agency had suppressed an internal report challenging the entire global warming myth. Despite the importance of this study, and how it related to a debate about to ensue on the House floor, its existence and suppression went almost completely ignored by America’s media. In order to move forward, the EPA administrator had to file an endangerment finding, which is a legal term meaning the EPA administrator had to declare that there was an endangerment to human health, and therefore, we needed to regulate the substance, in this case, CO2. Thanks to the new person on the block, , an outspoken opponent of the global warming, had Alan Carlin the primary author of the 98-page EPA report on his television show and he confirmed the EPA did suppress the report. NIASHF NE Chapter Member “Bring a Friend Dinner” Co-Chairmen Victor Corda and Chris Zizza with NIASHF NE President Al DeNapoli present Kathy Cammarata, Annette Luongo and Marie D’Eramo congratulate Dom Campochiaro with the 2009 Community Recognition Award. Dom Campochiaro for his dedication to community service.

On April 9, 2009 The National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, New Chapter held its Annual Member Bring a Friend Dinner. The dinner is the kick-off event each year for NIASHF, NE Chapter and offers the chance for members to gather and enjoy an evening of food and entertainment. It also serves to introduce newly elected NIASHF, Chapter offic- ers and directors to the membership, announce upcoming events, and encourage new members to join. For the second year in a row, the dinner has also been the venue to present the NIASHF, New England Chapter Community Recognition Award. This award is presented to an individual whose efforts to make their com- munity a better place deserve to be recognized. Returning co-chairmen, Victor Corda and Chris Zizza once again planned a fantastic event for all who attended, right down to the centerpieces that have become a tradition at the dinner — tomato plants. With the 2009 Community Recognition Award being presented to Dominic Campochiaro, a lifelong resident of the North End, the location for the dinner was Filippo’s Ristorante. Dom’s con- tributions include his annual baseball clinic for the children of the North End, President of his Sons of Italy Lodge #208, Presi- dent of the North End Athletic Association, photographer for Left to Right: Richard Settipane, Richie Longo, Vito Aluia, Anthony Pasquale, Dom NIASHF, NE Chapter and much much more.
