Research Interest

My primary research objective is to develop culturally responsive and evidence-based health interventions for gay Latino and Black sexual assault survivors in the United States. I am currently immersed in various research projects focused on the violence against gay Black and/or Latino men, sexual and gender minorities, and the effects of COVID-19 on persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Acknowledging those who are more marginalized and not represented in extant research, I focus on illuminating the experiences of Latino and Black men who have sex with men (MSM), immigrants and people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA).
