Chandigarh, This was started by Gurpreet Ghuggi president of North Zone ﬁlm & TV artists Association. he further informed that the Association in collaboration with Punjab Arts Council has released the book "Punjabi cinema da Sachittar Itihaas" written by ﬁlm historian Mandeep Singh Sidhu at the Punjab Kala Bhawan Sector 16 Chandigarh.

Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi Hon'ble Minister, (sports. youth affair and NRI government of Punjab was presided over as a chief guest. the function was attended by big Wings of the Punjabi film industry and Punjabi literature, lyricist Shamsher Sandhu, Kavi Raz, Indian-born British actor, writer, director and producer, Vijay Tandon actor and writer, Amar Noori, Punjabi singer-actress, Priti Sapru actress of Punjabi cinema, Guggu Gill Punjabi film actor, Sardar Sohi Punjabi actor and writer, Karamjit Anmol, Indian actor, comedian, singer and film producer, Actor/Photojournalist Kulbir Singh Kalsi and many more eminent Punjabi film personalities.

Hon'ble Minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, has assured to allot the land for association in Mohali and announced donated 500000 rupees cheque for North Zone ﬁlm & TV artists Association.

Gurmeet Rauni, General Secretary of the association narrated the eﬀorts put in by Mandeep Singh Sidhu by visiting Lahore (Pakistan), Kolkata, Pune, and Mumbai repeatedly to complete the book with authentic information. other oﬃce bearers of the association Dr Ranjit Sharma, Tarsem Paul, Paramjit Bhangoo, Bharat Bhushan Verma, Satwant Kaur, Rupinder Rupi, Seema Kaushal and Gurpreet Kaur Bhangu were also present to extend an open invitation to all lovers to attend the function.
