ITINERARY IN BRIEF TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Days 1-4: October 26-29, 2017  Arrive in the Thai capital and set out to explore. Ride “tuk tuks” (traditional three- Depart U.S./Bangkok wheel open-air taxis) to Wat Pho Temple and the complex, then sail along in long-tail boats for a tour of “hidden” Bangkok. In Ayutthaya, explore its historical park, now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Days 5-7: Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2017  Visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, browsing the fresh fruits, flowers, and Kanchanaburi vegetables sold by local vendors, before traveling on to Kanchanaburi and visiting the Cemetery of the Allied Prisoners of War. The village of Nong Khao is next, where you will sample local goods and tropical fruits and learn about how important rice is to Thai life. Board a long-tail boat to Sai Yok National Park & Waterfall where you have the option to swim or simply relax. Later, visit a tribal village.

Days 8-9: November 2-3, 2017  Travel to Hellfire Pass, where prisoners had only hand tools to cut through the Chiang Rai largest rocks on the route of the entire Burman Railway. Fly to Chiang Rai, touring the infamous Golden Triangle. Later, enjoy a leisurely boat ride along the Mekong and a scenic drive along mountain roads to the Hill Tribe Project.

Days 10-11: November 4-5, 2017  This morning, visit the Wat Rong Khun, the unusual “White Temple” celebrating Doi Ang Khang Lord Buddha’s purity. Visit a local market to purchase fare for this afternoon’s cooking class. Enjoy the fruits of your labor this evening at a four-course Thai dinner.

Days 12-13: November 6-7, 2017  Visit Elephant Nature Park, a rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary. Discover the old Chiang Mai city of Chiang Mai by rickshaw, visiting several temples and halls; then, enjoy visits to Wat Pra That Doi Suthep and San Kamphaeng.

Days 14-15: November 8-9, 2017  Take the opportunity to explore more of Chiang Mai’s handcraft trail before Chiang Mai/Depart for U.S./Arrive transferring to the airport for your return flight to the U.S. U.S.
