HEYSHAM & LANCASTER DISTRICT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT RULES.

Date: Thursday 31st October 2019

Time: Prompt 1.00pm start

Normal FA Rules 7 a side (Squads of up to 10) Teams split in to 4 groups, top two teams from each group qualify for knock out stages

Group Stages (7 minutes one way) • 1st and 2nd in Group A, B, C and D go through to the knockout stages • Teams that are out are free to leave or can play friendlies, but only 2 pitches available, arrange between schools

Knockout Stages (5 minutes each way): • Quarter Finals – winner goes through to Semi Finals, runner up is out

• Semi Finals – Winners play in the District Final, runners up play in the District 3rd/4th

Playoff for Bronze medals

• Final – Winners win Gold medals, runners up win Silver medals, both teams qualify for the County Tournament.

Every player MUST wear shin pads and rubber moulded studs or astro trainers. School’s responsibility to monitor. Parents to stay outside of the astro fencing.
