This style is easy enough to put together quickly before a night out or special event, adding that extra touch of glamour and elegance to your outfit.

Follow these six easy steps to create a hairstyle with that just- back-from-the-salon finish!

WHAT YOU NEED

6 hair ties A handful of plain, discrete bobby pins Hairspray to set the style once finished

BEFORE YOU START

Allow 30 minutes if you are a confident styler, longer if this is your first attempt Make sure your hair is clean and dry - just out of the shower is not always best! ELEGANT UP-DO

STEP ONE

Split your hair into three ponytails, as shown. The first should be parted from the rest of your hair just above your ear. Split the remaining hair into two ponytails above the nape of your neck.

STEP TWO

Split the hair of the left-most ponytail into two separate bunches. Twist the two around each other and secure at the bottom with a hair tie. Loosen the twist to add volume.

STEP THREE

Pull the twisted braid of hair over the top of the other two ponytails and secure with a bobby pin, tucking in the end of the braid. ELEGANT UP-DO

STEP FOUR

Repeat Step Two with the middle ponytail. Tuck the new braid over and to the left of the first. Secure with a bobby pin.

STEP FIVE

Repeat Step Two with the third and final ponytail. Tuck the new braid under the other two. Secure with a bobby pin.

STEP SIX

Loosen the hair at the crown of your head if you want to add volume.
