D EEJAY T-JR. EPK 01 BIO DJ & TURNTABLIST deejay t-jr. (pronounced “tee-junior”) is a DJ and turntablist based out of Toronto, Canada. She began her DJ journey in 2010, as a music enthusiast and skratch DJ interested in the world of turntablism. Eventually, and inevitably, she took her love for music to the mainstream arena where she found the best of both worlds performing for live audiences, and showcasing her prowess by incorporating the extensive and varied technical skillsets she possesses into each of her live sets.

She is highly recognized for her expertise in the genre of Hip Hop – both Old School and New. She has a comprehensive knowledge of music, which provides the insights needed to seamlessly cross a multitude of genres including R&B, Dancehall & Reggae, Latin, Afrobeats, Pop & Top 40, Deep House & EDM, Funk, Jazz, Blues, and Classic Rock.

She is experienced performing for diverse audiences in a variety of settings ranging from exclusive lounges and bars to nightclubs, beach parties, high-end restaurants, and corporate events across Toronto. She has also had the pleasure of playing abroad in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Texas, Halifax and Taipei. t-jr. displays her well-rounded and unique style as a DJ by tapping into and combining the many domains of DJing into each and every performance.

t-jr.’s mastery and talent have been acknowledged by her peers and displayed through showcases alongside high-caliber talent including: Skratch Bastid, THUGLI, Hedspin, Trapment and son of the late Jam Master Jay, TJ Mizell. She is an active competitor in the Canadian National DMC DJ Battle Competition and Red Bull 3Style World DJ Championships. Her most recent achievements include:

• Placing 3rd in Canada’s 2018 Red Bull 3Style National Finals - making her the first female in the country to do so;

• Special DJ Guest appearance on SiriusXM Radio, where she played live from New York City on Shade 45’s famous Sway In The Morning radio show;

• Performing live at the 2019 Skratch Bastid BBQ in Toronto alongside Masta Ace & Marco Polo, Kid Capri, Greg Nice, Rob Swift and Amsterdam's Jaël.

ENGINEER & PRODUCER In addition to DJing, she is currently undertaking audio engineering at Grindz Recording Studio located in Toronto where she assists the lead engineer in recording, mixing and mastering for both up-and-coming talent as well as major artists. Notable mentions include Tory Lanez, Yxng Bane, Kardinal O shall, Flohio, R-Mean and brother of Tory Lanez, Hollywood SOS. t-jr. is also a student of production and her latest work titled, “I Wanna Be Down Remix” has already been very well received by the music community, with accolades from the world renowned DJ and Producer, Statik Selektah.

t-jr.’s future endeavours include continuing to dominate in her home city of Toronto, and party rocking abroad in major cities to build her presence internationally. She is determined to keep competing in major DJ battles including the DMC World DJ Championships, Red Bull 3Style World DJ Championships, and A-Trak's Goldie Awards.

t-jr.’s passion for music, dedication to her craft and the art of DJing as a whole, are foundational elements to which her success can be attributed to thus far, and that have allowed her to cater to and connect with all crowd types and music listeners, while providing a memorable musical experience far beyond what music provides on its own. 02
