Homecoming Week 2019!

Seniors vs Juniors in annual rival Powderpuff game Monday, September 30: The tradition continues as the seniors and juniors compete for bragging rights as the Spirit Week Begins! See winner of the annual Powderpuff football game. The action begins at 7 p.m. pages 4, 5 and 6 for Spirit Wednesday, October 2, at Cardinal . Wednesday, October 2: Bring your appetite! Community Tailgate sure to please PowderPuff Game, 7 p.m. Cardinal fans are invited to attend the 7th Annual Community Tailgate from 4- Tickets $5 (No passes) 6:30 p.m. before Friday's homecoming football game in front of Davison High School. Youth groups and members from several area churches will be serving tail- Friday, October 4: gate fare like hot dogs, nachos, cookies and water, so bring your appetite. This Homecoming! event is FREE to all!!!

Community Tailgate, Homecoming Parade kicks off at 5 p.m. 4-6:30 p.m. DHS Visitor Parking Lot. Free! National Honor Society students are once again working to make sure this year’s parade goes off without a hitch. The students help plan and organize the pa- Parade, 5 p.m. Clark to rade as well as assign the line-up and direct participants on the day of the parade. (Please note: Only those Stadium groups who have registered will be allowed to participate in the parade. Motorists should also take note that the Oak Road entrance to the high school will be closed by 4 p.m., so please use the Lapeer Road entrance.

This year’s parade begins at 5 p.m. at Davison High School. The parade will contin-

ue west down Clark Street and turn north on Main Street before ending near the li- brary. Please use extreme caution when driving in this area as school buses will be picking up students along Fourth and Davison streets to bring them back to the high school. A special thanks to our police agencies—Davison Township, City of Davison and Richfield Township—for their assistance with directing traffic, closing streets and helping to keep everyone safe. Introducing the candidates for 2019 Homecoming Queen and King courts Nominees for the 2019 Homecoming Queen are: Cassie Allard, Rebekah Allen, Tia France, Taylor Lintz and Grace White. Vying for the title of Homecoming King are: Mason Allen, Brennan Densmore, Latrell Ford- ham, Jeffrey Schmidt and Ryley Wilcox. The homecoming queen will be crowned during half- time ceremonies at the October 4 varsity football game and the homecoming king will be announced at the October 2 Powderpuff football game. The candidates include: Cassie Rebekah Tia Taylor  Cassie Allard. Cassie’s parents are John and Diana Allard. She is a member of the Varsity Basketball and Soccer teams, National Honor Society and Unified Champions. Cassie plans to major in cyber security at Wayne State Uni- versity. Grace Mason Brennan Latrell  Rebekah Allen. Rebekah’s parents are David and Sarah Allen. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, Varsity Dance Team and DTV. Rebekah plans to major in psychology.

 Tia France. Tia is the daughter of Scott and Alyssa France. She is a mem- ber of DECA, National Honor Society and Varsity Lacrosse. Tia plans to attend Michigan State University to major in biomedical engineering. Jeffrey Ryley

 Taylor Lintz. Taylor’s parents are Darryl and Sarah Lintz. She is a member of the Varsity Volleyball team. Taylor plans to play volleyball and study business or design at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith.

 Grace White. Grace is the daughter of Derek and Sarah White. She is a member of the Varsity Pom Pon Team, String Orchestra and National Honor Society. Grace plans to attend the University of Michigan- Flint to study health care administration.

 Mason Allen. Mason is the son of Scott and Adrienne Allen. He is a member of the Marching Band and National Honor Society. Mason plans to attend Michigan State University to pursue a major in media and in- formation (film) and hopes to join the Spartan Marching Band.

 Brennan Densmore. Brennan’s parents are Scott and Lisa Densmore. He is a member of the Varsity Foot- , Basketball and teams. Brennan is enlisting in the National Guard and plans to attend trade school to become an electrician.

 Latrell Fordham. Latrell is the son of Carlos Fordham and Monica Joshua. He is a member of the Var- sity Baseball and Football teams. Latrell hopes that after three years of college he will secure a professional football career or finish his education and start his own business.  Jeffrey Schmidt. Jeffrey’s parents are John and Kelly Schmidt. Jeffrey is a member of the Varsity Hockey and Lacrosse teams. Jeffrey plans to play college hockey and study in the field of medicine.

 Ryley Wilcox. Ryley is the son of Amy Abdella and Jason Wilcox. He is a member of Student Council, DTV and a Student Ambassador. Ryley plans to study communications at Wayne State, Grand Valley or Western Michigan University. 2019 princesses and princes represent underclassmen

The junior class representatives on this year’s Homecoming Court are Mia McCarty and Emerson Hub- ble. Mia’s parents are Micki Shirah and Michael McCarty. She is a member of DECA and plays la- crosse. Emerson is the son of Michele Hubble and Rick Robin- Emerson and Mia Diego and Nadia Carter and Evelyn son. He is a member of the Varsity Football team.

Representing the sophomores are Nadia Owens and Diego Gomez. Nadia is the daughter of Mary Ellen Owens and Mike Villareal. Nadia is interested in raising awareness for mental health and is a former yearbook editor. Di- ego is a member of the Varsity Choir and Track and Field team.

The freshmen class representatives are Evelyn Marshall and Carter Warner. Evelyn is the daughter of Dan and Mary Marshall. She has volunteered after school at elementary schools. Carter is the son of Bob and Gaylon Warner. He plays lacrosse and has helped homeless students in Arizona.
