On the Metro: From Washington Plaza Hotel (10 Thomas Circle, NW., Washington D.C.) to EPA East . Exit the Hotel and walk to the left 3 blocks to McPherson Square . o Buy a metro ticket from one of the machines. A one-way trip from McPherson Square to Station (the stop where EPA East is located) is $2.40 during peak hours and $2.20 during off-peak hours. Travel time on the subway is approximately 5 minutes. . Take the Orange Line Train Toward New Carrollton. Or . Take the Blue Line Train Toward Largo Town Center. . Exit at Federal Triangle Station . Both trains will get you to the Federal Triangle Station in just 2 stops. . Come up the 2 sets of escalators to exit the station. . Once you exit the station turn around 180 degrees and walk toward 12th St. NW, make a right on 12th St. NW heading south toward Constitution Ave. NW. . At Constitution Ave. NW, make a right (turning west) and walk to the entrance of the EPA East Building, 1201 Constitution Ave. NW. . Register with the security guards to get your temporary visitors pass and head to room 1153. Room 1153 (EPA East) is on your right as you walk past the bank of elevators toward the middle of the building. Someone from the Coastal Management Branch will be there to assist you.

Federal . When going back to the hotel Triangle take the Orange Line Toward Franconia- Station Springfield . OR the Blue Line toward Vienna/Fairfax- GMU

By Taxi: Direct driver to EPA East Building, 1201 Ariel Rios Constitution Ave. NW North . Continue toward Constitution Ave. NW and make a right (west) to get dropped off at 1201 Constitution Ave. NW

From the Washington Plaza Hotel . Take the Metro at McPherson Square to (1 stop) o Blue line to Largo Town Center OR o Orange line to New Carrolton. . At Metro Center, switch to the Red line toward Glenmont or Silver Springs. . Exit at Silver Spring Station (approx. 20 minute ride)

From the Metro Station to Silver Spring Civic Center Building (approx 15 min walk) . Head northeast on Colesville Rd toward 2nd Ave. . Turn right onto Georgia Ave. . Turn left onto Ellsworth Dr. – The Civic Center in on the right **See Map on next page

From the Washington Plaza (13 & M) 1. Walk to Metro Center (13 & G) and take the Red Line all the way to Silver Spring 2. Walk to the Convention Center/Mt. Vernon Square (7th & M), take the Green Line to Ft. Totten and transfer to the Red Line to Silver Spring

Tips:  Count on the trip taking about an hour (Need to leave hotel around 7:15 am at the latest)

 Food and drink are NOT allowed on the Metro. We are told that there are plenty of places to find a snack between the Silver Spring Metro and the meeting location.

 There are no security checks at the Civic Center Building.
