1.2 LOCATION The site is located at 44 Elfort Road in the London Borough of Islington, near Arsenal tube station and the .

The character of the houses are mostly 2 and 3 storey Victorian terraced houses which become double fronted and shallower to the North of the road. SITE

The property is not listed and is not in a conservation area.

1.3 EXISTING HOUSE The Project comprises a three storey mid-terrace single family home. There is an existing ground floor, lower ground floor and first floor level. Building works comprising a new rear two storey extension and the reconfiguration of the interior have recently been carried out but remain incomplete due to significant construction issues. 1.4 BRIEF 44 Elfort Road - Site Location

The brief is to look at both a new internal reconfiguration and a new design for the extension and external elements. The ground floor rooms are to be accessibe and bathrooms are to be provided on every level as required for the family's medical needs.

The project is to be detailed to a high quality specification avoiding or resolving all of the issues that emerged during the previous building works.
