Greenpeace protest in Brisbane - Galilee Coal Basin 7.30 - 9.30am, Monday 12 November Meeting at ANZAC Square at 7.30am Then proceeding to The Hilton 190 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane (Set up on site at 8am so we’re ready when the coal miners arrive…)

Come dressed for a day out on the Great Barrier Reef as marine life, in snorkel gear, in beach gear, or as a fisherman, etc. (If you aren't able to dress up, don't worry, we'll have Reef Defender shirts for you to borrow on the day).

Show the coal barons that they won’t get their way—we’re going to stand up and protect the reef!

November D3SJ meeting is 14 November, NOT 7 November "My vision for Australia's solar energy future" Professor Paul Meredith is lead scientist of UQ's Solar Energy program. He is a materials physicist investigating new sustainable high tech materials for applications such as more efficient production of solar energy.

Meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month. 5.30pm - biscuits, coffee/tea 6.00pm - presentation 6.45pm - discussion 7.15pm - meeting concludes - enthusiastic participants are encouraged to continue discussion over dinner at another venue Venue: Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology Boardrooms, 134 Whitmore St (Swann Rd end), Taringa. Go to reception (off upper car park) signs will direct from there. Parking is available on site (upper car park- anywhere there is a space or lower car parks in the non reserved spaces).There's also plenty of nearby on-street parking (with no meters/time limit) at that time of day. Who should attend: Any intelligent person interested in the common good. Cost: FREE! No need to RSVP.
