TIONE DI TRENTO 26-27 JUNE 2021 www.flyfishingfestival.it FLY FISHING FESTIVAL FISHING IS ONCE AGAIN THE STAR OF THE SUMMER Anticipation is building for the first festival in Italy dedicated to fly fishing. The new format will take place on June 26th and 27th 2021 in Trentino, in Tione di Trento and in the Giudicarie valleys, inviting the community of enthusiasts to take part in the waters of the Rivers Sarca and Chiese and Lake Nembia. **** This new event is for fishing fans from all over Italy and beyond to get back together for the Fly Fishing Festival, the first event dedicated to fly fishing, ready to inaugurate the summer. It will take place in Tione di Trento and in the Giudicarie Valleys, to offer the chance to re-start after a long break. The two days will offer a variety of experiences, scheduled for Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June 2021, during which fans of fishing and the outdoor life will have the chance to discover the Giudicarie Valley area, considered to be the Italian fly fishing capital, with its 500km of crystal clear waters. The event, which will take place in three different locations, mainly outdoors, invites fishermen to challenge the fresh waters of Trentino. The River Sarca is the ideal place to get stuck into casting tests, to try out the ancient technique of tenkara and train in nymph fishing, thanks to the cooperation of the Italian Fly Fishing School (S.I.M Pescara), the Claudio Carrara Fly Fishing School and the Trentino Fly Club. Meanwhile, the River Chiese will host the Hydro Dolomiti Energy Green Trophy, a no kill contest in pairs with a limited number of contestants, organised by the Upper Chiese Fishing Association A.S.D.. Lake Nembia is getting ready to be the open air training ground where you can watch casting demonstrations and take part in beginners’ fly fishing courses for adults and children, organised by experts such as the Italian National Fly Casting Group, the European Fly Fishing Association, the international Game Angling Instructors' Association and the National Casting School UNPeM. TIONE DI TRENTO 26-27 JUNE 2021 www.flyfishingfestival.it At the heart of the event will be the Fly Fishing Village, an exhibition area set up at the Tione di Trento bowling alley, just a short walk from the River Sarca. Inside the Village area, you will able to visit the exhibition stands of selected specialist companies to discover and buy the latest equipment, accessories and clothing for fly fishing and outdoor sports. It will also be possible to take part in workshops to learn how to make artifical fly and try out the products on sale in the huge casting tank situated in the outdoor area. There will of course be stalls selling food and drink from the Trentino area and other parts of Italy. Thanks to the agreement set up with the Upper Sarca Amateur Association and the Upper Chiese Fishing Association A.S.D., the entusiasts who visit the Fly Fishing Village will have the chance to fish in the Upper Sarca and Chiese areas with a special discount on the purchase of fishing permits valid during the days of the event.
