CORPORATE STANDARDS Logo | Fonts | Color Palette LOGO VERSIONS CORPORATE STANDARDS Logo | Fonts | Color Palette LOGO VERSIONS There are two versions of the Duke Realty logo: Stacked version Horizontal version No variations should be made from the use of these logos other than those allowed in these standards. © 2017 Duke Realty 2 LOGO ELEMENTS The Duke Realty logo is made up of the leaves symbol, Duke logotype, and the Realty logotype for both the stacked and horizontal versions. Leaves Symbol Duke Logotype Realty Logotype Logo Never alter or modify the logo. The relationship of all components of the logo (size of each element, alignment, and space between elements) has been carefully considered and should not be changed in any way. Logotype The logotype is in a customized font for Duke Realty. No attempts should be made to alter the font or to duplicate it for other uses. The logotype should never appear without the leaves symbol. Duke Realty © 2017 Duke Realty 3 Symbol The leaves symbol should appear with the logotype. The leaves may appear separate from the logotype if used for national marketing campaigns or other corporate initiatives. Please contact the Brand Manager for guidance on using the leaves for any other purpose. Symbol Reproduction The logo should be reproduced only from digital files provided on disk. No attempts should be made to redraw, respace, or modify the logo. No arrangements of the logo other than those illustrated are acceptable. Never use a xeroxed logo or scan a logo from a printed piece. © 2017 Duke Realty 4 Scaling & Sizing When sizing the logo, care should be taken to ensure it is scaled proportionately. For the stacked logo, the minimum size is 0.75” wide .75" For the horizontal logo, the minimum size is 1.5” wide. 1.5" © 2017 Duke Realty 5 Spacing To prevent the identity from becoming visually crowded, clear space must surround the logo. At a minimum, this clear space should be the height of the three-leaf symbol. Backgrounds It is preferable that the logo be reproduced on a white background in full color. If the logo appears on any color other than white, the single-color version of the logo should be used in black or as a reverse. The logo should never be used as solid green. Avoid using the logo on background imagery or patterns that may appear busy, detract from the logo, or affect readability. Acceptable Unacceptable Unacceptable reverses reverse background © 2017 Duke Realty 6 LOGO COLOR Two standard colors have been selected for use with Duke Realty’s logo: black and Duke Realty green (PMS 363). These approved colors should be given first consideration when applying the logo to various applications. Screen tints of these colors should never be used. Green Black Green Spot Color Whenever possible the logo should be reproduced in two spot colors. When printing using conventional, offset commercial printing methods, Black and Pantone PMS 363 Green should be used when printing on coated paper. When printing on uncoated paper, Black and Pantone PMS 369 should be used. Once dry, PMS 369 on the uncoated sheet will take on the appearance of PMS 363. Four-Color Process When PMS 363 is not available, the green may be reproduced from a four-color process build of 68% cyan, 0% magenta, 100% yellow, and 24% black. Electronic Applications All electronic uses (web, presentations, screen savers, email files) of the Duke Realty identity should appear in full color. The RGB equivalents for Duke Realty colors are: black RGB 0/0/0 and PMS 363 green RGB 67/149/57. © 2017 Duke Realty 7 Single Color When reproduced in only one color, the logo should be printed only in solid black or reversed out of a solid color background. Do not apply a screen tint to the leaves. Architectural Exception Additional considerations have been made for use of the logo in architectural installations which may deviate from the above color guidelines. Please consult the marketing team before using the logo in an architectural capacity. © 2017 Duke Realty 8 COLOR PALETTE Duke Realty Green* Duke Realty Green This color will only be used in the logo. It should not appear in any other part of the design, except in the case of leasing signage. *When printing on uncoated paper, Black and Pantone PMS 369 should be used. • „Bitstream“ Fonts
Key to the „Bitstream“ Fonts The history of typefaces is the history of forgeries. One of the greatest forgers of the 20th century was Matthew Carter. The Bitstream website (http://www.myfonts.com) describes him as follows: Matthew Carter of United Kingdom. Born: 1937 Son of Harry Carter, Royal Designer for Industry, contemporary British type designer and ultimate craftsman, trained as a punchcutter at Enschedé by Paul Rädisch, responsible for Crosfield's typographic program in the early 1960s, Mergenthaler Linotype's house designer 1965-1981. Carter co-founded Bitstream with Mike Parker in 1981. In 1991 he left Bitstream to form Carter & Cone with Cherie Cone. In 1997 he was awarded the TDC Medal, the award from the Type Directors Club presented to those „who have made significant contributions to the life, art, and craft of typography“. Carter’s „significant contribution to the life, art, and craft of typography“ consisted of forging the Linotype typeface collection. Carter can be characterized as a split personality. On the one hand, he has designed several original typefaces. On the other hand, he has forged hundreds of fonts. The following lists reveal that ca. 90% of the „Bitstream“ fonts are forgeries of the fonts contained in the catalog „LinoTypeCollection 1987“ („Mergenthaler Type Library“), i.e. the „Bitstream“ fonts are „nefarious evil knock-off clones“ (Bruno Steinert) of fonts sold by Linotype in the mid-1980s.1 „L“ in the following lists denotes that the font is contained in the „LinoTypeCollection 1987“. In the mid-1980s, the Linotype library comprised hundreds of typefaces with a total of 1700 fonts.

(The examples I've included below all use fontspec, but sectsty works with or without fontspec.) xelatex enables you to use any font on your Mac OS X or Windows system. The fontspec package loads system fonts, as shown in examples below. When loading fontspec, it reverts the main roman font to Computer Modern (actually, Latin Modern). It will, however, leave the math font alone if you use the no-math option. Thus, to set a math font, load one of the above pack- ages, then load fontspec, then set the main font again using fontspec.
