***************************************************************************************************** Today Jesus tells us: “Why do you seek the speck in someone else’s eye but miss the log in your own eye?” It’s always easier to try to change someone else than face the things in ourselves which need changed. *********************************************************************************************** "Saint of the Week" - St. Colette of Corbie (1380-1447), Patron Saint of expectant mothers, Feast Day-March 6. She was the daughter of a carpenter in Picardy, France, was christened Nicolette, and called Colette. Orphaned at 17, she distributed her inheritance to the poor, became a Franciscan tertiary, lived as a solitary, and soon became well known for her holiness and spiritual wisdom. She left her cell in response to a dream directing her to reform the Poor Clares despite great opposition. She founded and was made Superior of 17 convents and reformed several older convents. She was known for her sanctity, ecstasies, and visions of the Passion, and prophesied her own death. A branch of the Poor Clares is still known as the Collettines. Her quote: "Praise, praise all the time, praise without end, and love the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and the most humble Virgin who bore Jesus Christ."

Can You Help? ~ To cut back on the use of electricity, the Altar Rosary has purchased two LED lights that have been installed over the sinks in the kitchen of the church hall. We are hoping that families and organizations that are using the hall for meetings or family gatherings will get in the habit of using those two lights when in the kitchen for short times instead of the one switch that turns on all eight ceiling lights. These new lights will give off plenty of light for small jobs in the kitchen or when you just need to put something away. Even if you need to turn on the ceiling lights, these two lights could be used instead while your meeting is in progress. Thank You!

Dear St. Anthony Family, It may be hard to believe, but coming up this week on March 6th is Ash Wednesday! This day starts our time of Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving. This is also a time of Penitence and Reconciliation. In this week's Gospel Jesus tells a parable about "The Blind Leading The Blind" and how we easily see the "Splinters" in other people’s eyes without even noticing the wooden beam in our own eyes. This Lent we are encouraged to look at ourselves with Honesty and see where we need to work on our own issues by Our Prayer, Our Sacrifice and Our Love shown to others around us.

I would encourage all of us to spend some extra time in Prayer, in Introspection and in Reflection during this Lenten Season. Jesus tells us that a good tree bears good fruit, while a bad tree cannot, and makes the point that "A Good Person, out of the store of Goodness in His Heart, Produces Good, and from the fullness of the Heart, the Mouth Speaks. So we are called to be good, to produce good fruit, and to have our goodness come from the goodness that we are in reality and in practice.

In this week's Bulletin, you'll find the faces and short Bios of our newly organized Pastoral Council, formerly known as The Parish Council. I believe we have a great group of people from a diverse scope of experience and talent. Please feel free to contact any of our members. They are your representatives who will help to shape the Vision of Our Parish and School. Please Pray for their Ministry and Guidance.

May God guide your Lenten Experience to a Glorious Easter! St. Anthony of Padua, Pray for Us!

Fr. David Dear Heavenly Father from above, Look down on Saint Anthony’s School Saint with love. Anthony Please guide them and teach them. Falcon Fill them with your power So that in everything they do, News They will be a delight to you! Amen. FEBRUARY GOLDEN FALCON AWARD WINNERS
