The park, which is divided into North and South sections, is comprised of a firing range site of the old military together with a repatriate site. Ginza Subway Line Hanzomon Subway Line Gingko trees Aoyama 1-chome North area The part of the park facing the street has benches under the trees, an ideal place for North pedestrians to sit down and take a short rest. In the back is an area where children can area race, play ball games, etc. Akasaka Gaienmae Fire Department South area This arrowhead-shaped park is surrounded by Auxiliary Route No. 6 and Loop Route No. 3. Service Aoyama Funeral Hall There is also a multipurpose plaza where people can enjoy sports right in the middle of this Center urban location. Additionally, on the opposite aide of the road lies Aoyama Ceremony, one of the nations’ first One-way traffic Chiyoda public cemeteries. Both sides of the road running north to south along the center of the cemetery are lined with Subway Line cherry trees, making this a prime cherry-blossom viewing site of the area. Oedo Subway Line

Are you aware of the origin of the place-name of Aoyama? Prior to the , most of the area known as Aoyama consisted of the villages of and Kami-. Aoyama Tadanari, vassal to Tokugawa Ieyasu, is said to have built his residence on this land, thus the name “Aoyama.” This Mr. Aoyama originally lived in the SubwayRoppongi Line Traffics Station Aoyama area of Agatsuma-gun, Kozukenokuni (currently Gunma Prefecture), taking the name Aoyama. Therefore South area ◉2 minutes from Nogisaka Station (Exit CO5), the location name Aoyama is said to originate in Gunma Prefecture. There remains to this day an anecdote regarding 10 minute walk from (Exit HO4), Tadanari: once when he accompanied Ieyasu on a falconry trip, the two were looking out to the west from a top North area ◉Aoyama-1-chome Station (Exit GO4), Tokyo Metro Ginza Line Akasaka, and Ieyasu said: “Take a ride around with your horse.
