SCIENCE COMES ALIVE!

This week, our Vikings in grade 9 STEP Science were studying the effects of varying the amount of baking soda added to vinegar on the amount of carbon dioxide produced. They collected the carbon dioxide in a balloon and measured its circumference and then digitally graphed their results. LOCKERBY THE SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN PROCESS By Josh M.: In Mr. Smith's grade 10 Technological Design class, we have been learning many important things such as how to do bubble diagrams, basic house drawings, to scale house drawings, and how to use AutoCad. The bubble diagrams help us in the early stage of design because it is easy to make and it does not take it very long to make. Drawing scale diagrams is a very important skill because it will help you draw something small and possibly make it in real life with your drawing. Lastly, AutoCad helps with more than one type of design which will be good for all of the aspiring architects out there! HEALTHY ACTIVE LIVING Nothing new to see here...just Mr. Abols’ Outdoor Education class making the most of the nice, sunny weather at the school!
