There are 92 matches behind us and what remains is a great interfusion of contenders with eight teams from seven countries: Hungary, Romania, FYR Macedonia, Montene- gro, Norway, Denmark and France. The only hurdle standing between the teams and their ticket to Budapest is the quarter-final. It is with great pleasure that we welcome this mix of well-rehearsed teams who all but Metz have already been amongst the top eight of the continent. It is a maiden trip for the French champions whose previous best was a final in the EHF Cup four years ago.
