Goats, Music and More Festival to Celebrate its 12th year with The Marshall Tucker Band and

The festival that honors those famous “fainting” goats of Marshall County, Tennessee returns to Lewisburg, TN this October 10th and 11th with another great lineup of entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The fun begins Thursday night with a Goat Rodeo for the kids. On Friday, the festival really kicks into gear with Fainting (Myotonic) and Boer Goat shows, kid’s games and rides, arts and crafts, vendors, food and musical entertainment.

Multi-platinum-selling artist Joe Diffie takes the Goats, Music and More stage at Rock Creek Park on Friday night to close out the first full day of fun and events.

With chart-toppers like “,” “,” and “ Green,” and 13 and over 20 Top 10 singles to his credit, Joe Diffie still has a fire in his belly to make good . He is sure to keep the crowd on their feet with opening act, The Entice Band – a group that will make you want to dance.

Saturday night, The Marshall Tucker Band will hit the stage bringing its southern sound and decades of hit music. Still led today by founding member and lead singer Doug Gray, they represent a time and place in music that will never be duplicated. With hit singles like "Heard It In A Love Song," "Fire On The Mountain," "Can't You See," and "Take The Highway," The Marshall Tucker Band earned seven gold and three platinum albums.

The Marshall Tucker Band will headline a Saturday at the festival full of great music all day including opening acts Shaun Murphy and the Don Ray Band.

Shaun Murphy is recognized in the music industry as one of the greatest female voices in the business. With a resume` that includes singing with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and Little Feat, Murphy brings a catalogue of great music and voice not to be missed.

The Don Ray Band is a Rock and Blues band that includes some of the nation's best and studio / touring musicians and is a main stay at many Bike Rallies, Fairs and Music Festivals playing originals off their 4 albums along with great versions of covers from to BB King from ZZ Top to The Allman Bros.

Catch all these great musical acts and more Friday and Saturday at the Goats, Music and More Festival – and as always, admission to the festival and all the great music is FREE.

If the goats are your thing, you can watch Fainting and Boer Goat shows each day of the festival in the goat show tents. Or, come and enjoy all the activities including the 5K Goat Run, lots of kids games and rides, arts and crafts and plenty of great food.

The Goats, Music and More Festival have three times been named as one of the Top 20 Events to see by the Southeast Tourism Society. People from all fifty states, 5 countries and 70 counties in Tennessee have come each year to enjoy everything this festival has to offer in beautiful Lewisburg, TN – just 50 miles south of Nashville.
