Android Instructions: 1. Download AIRLab URL Extractor from the Play store, store page should look like:

2. Open the app and allow permissions, the home screen will look as follows:

3. Navigate to WhatsApp, open up the WhatsApp chat you would like to export, click on the vertical ellipsis symbol (3 vertical dots) and click on “Media, links, and docs”

a. You should now see the links and number of links you have in your chat

4. Then click on “More”

a. Then click on “Export Chat”

b. Click “Without Media” in the next popup c. Click on “Save to Drive”

d. Proceed to save chat file in your folder 5. Open the AIRLab URL Extractor app up again, click on the Import Files button 6. Select the file to exported to the local directory, should be in the format of “WhatsApp Chat with __”

7. This should open up the chat information page:

8. Click “Continue to Edit URLs” to navigate to the Extracted URLs page:

9. Click edit URLs and remove the URLs you wish to remove, once finished editing, press “Add to Send” to add your URLs to your send file, click “Return to Home Page” to return to the home screen a. Note that if you do not wish to add your URLs to the send file, simply click “Return to Home Page” without pressing “Add to Send” 10. The home page should now look something like this:

11. Edit and add chats as you see fit until you are satisfied with your send file by repeating the steps above for each chat 12. Once satisfied, click the “Send Chats” button, which should take you to a screen like:

Enter the email address you would like your file to be sent to, select whether you would like to also send your file to the research team, and if you are part of the study, enter your Prolific ID 14. Once you are ready to email your file, click “Send” which should prompt your native email client with all recipients set up 15. Then attach a file by clicking on the paperclip, navigate to your Downloads folder, and select “test1.txt” 16. Send file once you are ready
