2. Two-way section fares offered in the routes tabulated above are paid by Octopus. Passengers tap their Octopus to pay the full fare when boarding and tap the same Octopus again along the sections with two-way section fares when alighting to enjoy the fare concessions (excluding NLB routes B2, A35 and N35). NLB route B2 adopts “Two-level fare” mode of operation for collecting two-way section fare; for NLB routes A35 and N35, passengers need to inform the drivers of their destinations upon boarding so that the drivers can adjust the Octopus readers before they tap the Octopus cards.

3. At present, there are 1 KMB route and 6 NLB routes offering two-way section fares by collecting cash. Since the fares are paid by cash, no fare differential is reimbursed to the operators.
