First Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 32 א ַ ֽה ֲאִ֥זינוּ ַה ָשּׁ ַ ֖מִים ַ ֽו ֲא ַד ֵ ֑בָּרה ְו ִת ְשׁ ַ ֥מע ָה ָ ֖אֶרץ Listen, O heavens, and I will speak! And let the earth hear .1

ִא ְמֵר ִֽי־פי: !the words of my mouth

ב ַ ֽי ֲﬠ ֤רֹף ַכּ ָמּ ָט ֙ר ִל ְק ִ֔חי ִתַּ ֥זּל ַכּ ַ ֖טּל ִא ְמָר ִ ֑תי ִכּ ְשׂ ִﬠ ִ ֣ירם My lesson will drip like rain; my word will flow like dew; like .2

ֲﬠ ֵל ֶ֔י־ד ֶשׁא ְו ִכְר ִבי ִ ֖בים ֲﬠ ֵלי־ ֵ ֽﬠ ֶשׂב: .storm winds on vegetation and like raindrops on grass

ג ִ ֛כּי ֵ ֥שׁם ְי ָהוֹ ֖ה ֶא ְקָ ֑רא ָה ֥בוּ ֖ ֹגֶדל ֵ ֽלא ֵ ֽהינוּ: When I call out the name of the Lord, ascribe greatness to .3 our God.

ד ַה ֙צּוּר ָתּ ִ ֣מים ָ ֽפּ ֳﬠ ֔לוֹ ִ֥כּי ָכ ְל־דָּר ָ ֖כיו ִמ ְשׁ ָ ֑פּט ֵ ֤אל The deeds of the [Mighty] Rock are perfect, for all His ways .4 ֱא ָמוּנ ֙ה ְו ֵ ֣אין ָ֔ﬠֶול ַצ ִ֥דּיק ְו ָי ָ ֖שׁר ֽהוּא: are just; a faithful God, without injustice He is righteous and upright.

ה ִשׁ ֵ ֥חת ֛לוֹ ֖לּ ֹא ָבָּ ֣ניו מוּ ָ ֑מם ֥דּוֹר ִﬠֵ ֖קּשׁ וּ ְפ ַת ְל ֽ ֹתּל: Destruction is not His; it is His children's defect you crooked .5 and twisted generation.

ו ַה ְל ָיהוֹ ֙ה ִתּ ְג ְמלוּ־ ֔ז ֹאת ַ ֥ﬠם ָנ ָ ֖בל ְו ֣ל ֹא ָח ָ ֑כם Is this how you repay the Lord, you disgraceful, unwise .6 ֲהלוֹא ֙־הוּא ָא ִ ֣בי ָקּ ֶ֔נ ֥הוּא ָ ֽﬠ ְשׂ ֖ ַ ֽו ְ י ֽכֹ ְנֶ ֽנ : people?! Is He not your Father, your Master? He has made you and established you.

Second Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 32 ז ְזכֹ ֙ר ְי ֣מוֹת ָ֔עוֹלם ִ ֖בּינוּ ְשׁ ֣נוֹת ֽדֹּר ָו ֑דֹר ְשׁ ַ ֤אל ָא ִ֨ב ֙י [Remember the days of old; reflect upon the years of [other .7 https://www.chabad.org/parshah/torahreading.asp?aid=2495834&jewish=Haazinu-Torah-Reading.htm&p=complete 1/8 9/24/2020 Ha'azinu Torah Reading - Parshah ְו ַי ֵ֔גְּד ְז ֵקֶ ֖ני ְו ֽי ֹ ְאמרוּ־ ָ ֽל: ,generations. Ask your father, and he will tell you; your elders and they will inform you.

ח ְבּ ַה ְנ ֵ ֤חל ֶﬠ ְל ֙יוֹן ִ֔גּוֹים ְבּ ַה ְפִר ֖ידוֹ ְבֵּ ֣ני ָאָ ֑דם ַי ֵצּ ֙ב ְגּ ֻב ֣ת When the Most High gave nations their lot, when He .8 ַﬠ ִ֔מּים ְל ִמ ְס ַ ֖פּר ְבֵּ ֥ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֽאל: separated the sons of man, He set up the boundaries of peoples according to the number of the children of Israel.

ט ִ ֛כּי ֵ ֥ח ֶלק ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ַﬠ ֑מּוֹ ַ ֽי ֲﬠ ֖קֹב ֶ ֥ח ֶבל ַ ֽנ ֲח ָל ֽתוֹ: Because the Lord's portion is His people Jacob, the lot of .9

His inheritance.

י ִי ְמ ָצ ֵ֨א ֙הוּ ְבּ ֶ ֣אֶרץ ִמ ְד ָ֔בּר וּ ְב ֖ ֹתהוּ ְי ֵ ֣לל ְי ִשׁ ֑ ֹמן ְי ֽסֹ ְב ֶ֨ב ְנ ֙הוּ He found them in a desert land, and in a desolate, howling .10 wasteland. He encompassed them and bestowed ְי ֣ב ְוֹנ ֵ֔נהוּ ִי ְצֶּ ֖ר ְנהוּ ְכּ ִאי ֥שׁוֹן ֵﬠ ֽינוֹ: understanding upon them; He protected them as the pupil of His eye.

יא ְכּ ֶ֨נ ֶשׁ ֙ר ָי ִ ֣ﬠיר ִק ֔נּוֹ ַﬠ ֽל־גּ ָוֹז ָ ֖ליו ְיַר ֵ ֑חף ִי ְפ ֤רֹשׂ ְכּ ָנ ָפ ֙יו ,As an eagle awakens its nest, hovering over its fledglings .11 ִי ָקּ ֵ֔חהוּ ִי ָשּׂ ֵ ֖אהוּ ַﬠ ֶל־א ְבָר ֽתוֹ: it spreads its wings, taking them and carrying them on its pinions.

יב ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ָבָּ ֣דד ַי ְנ ֶ ֑חנּוּ ְו ֵ ֥אין ִﬠ ֖מּוֹ ֵ ֥אל ֵנ ָ ֽכר: So] the Lord guided them alone, and there was no alien] .12 deity with Him.

Third Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 32 יג ַיְר ִכּ ֵ֨ב ֙הוּ ַﬠל־ ָ ֣בּ ֳמ ֵתי (כתיב על־במותי) ָ֔אֶרץ He made them ride upon the high places of the earth, that .13 ַויּ ֹ ַ ֖אכל ְתּנוּ ֣בֹת ָשׂ ָ ֑די ַוֵ ֽיּ ִנֵ ֤ קהוּ ְד ַב ֙שׁ ִמ ֶ֔סּ ַלע ְו ֶ ֖שׁ ֶמן they would eat the produce of the field. He let them suck honey ֵ ֽמ ַח ְל ִ֥מישׁ ֽצוּר: .from a rock, and oil from the mighty part of the crag

יד ֶח ְמ ַ֨את ָבּ ָ֜קר ַ ֽו ֲח ֵ ֣לב ֗צ ֹאן ִﬠ ֵ֨ם־ח ֶלב ָכִּ ֜רים ְו ֵא ִ ֤ילים The cream of cattle and the milk of sheep, with the fat of .14 lambs and rams of Bashan and he goats, with kidneys of ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָב ָ ֙שׁן ְו ַﬠ ִ֔תּוּדים ִﬠ ֵ ֖ם־ח ֶלב ִכּ ְל ֣יוֹת ִח ָ ֑טּה ְו ַדם־ ֵﬠָ ֖נב ִתּ ְשׁ ֶתּה ָ ֽ־ח ֶמר: wheat, and it [the congregation of Israel] would drink the blood of grapes [which was] as the finest wine.

טו ַו ִיּ ְשׁ ַ ֤מן ְי ֻשׁ ֙רוּן ַו ִיּ ְב ָ֔ﬠט ָשׁ ַ ֖מ ְנ ָתּ ָﬠ ִ ֣בי ָת ָכּ ִ ֑שׂי ָת ַו ִיּ ֙טּשׁ And Jeshurun became fat and rebelled; you grew fat, thick .15 ֱא ֣ל ַוֹ ָﬠ ָ֔שׂהוּ ַו ְי ַנ ֵ ֖בּל ֥צוּר ְי ֻ ֽשׁ ָﬠ ֽתוֹ: and rotund; [Israel] forsook the God Who made them, and spurned the [Mighty] Rock of their salvation.

טז ַי ְק ִנ ֻ ֖אהוּ ְבּ ָזִ ֑רים ְבּ ֽת ֵוֹﬠ ֖בֹת ַי ְכ ִﬠ ֻ ֽיסהוּ: They provoked His zeal with alien worship; they made Him .16 angry with abominations deeds.

יז ִי ְז ְבּ ֗חוּ ַל ֵשּׁ ִדי ֙ם ֣ל ֹא ֱא ַ֔ ֱא ִ ֖הים ֣ל ֹא ְי ָד ֑ﬠוּם They sacrificed to demons, which have no power, deities .17 ֲח ָד ִשׁי ֙ם ִמ ָקּ ֣רֹב ָ֔בּאוּ ֥ל ֹא ְשׂ ָﬠ ֖רוּם ֲא ֽבֹ ֵתי ֶ ֽכם: they did not know, new things that only recently came, which https://www.chabad.org/parshah/torahreading.asp?aid=2495834&jewish=Haazinu-Torah-Reading.htm&p=complete 2/8 9/24/2020 Ha'azinu Torah Reading - Parshah your forefathers did not fear.

יח ֥צוּר ְי ָ ֽל ְד ֖ ֶ ֑תּ ִשׁי ַו ִתּ ְשׁ ַ ֖כּח ֵ ֥אל ְמ ֽחֹ ְל ֶ ֽל: You forgot the [Mighty] Rock Who bore you; you forgot the .18

God Who delivered you.

Fourth Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 32 יט ַוַ ֥יּ ְ רא ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ַו ִיּ ְנ ָ ֑אץ ִמ ַ ֥כּ ַﬠס ָבָּ ֖ניו וּ ְב ֹנ ָ ֽתיו: And the Lord saw this and became angry, provoked by His .19 sons and daughters.

כ ַו֗יּ ֹ ֶאמר ַא ְס ִ ֤תּ ָירה ָפ ַ֙ני ֵמ ֶ֔הם ֶאְר ֶ ֖אה ָ ֣מה ַ ֽא ֲחִרי ָ ֑תם And He said, "I will hide My face from them. I will see what .20 ִ ֣כּי ֤דוֹר ַתּ ְה ֻפּכֹ ֙ת ֵ֔ה ָמּה ָבִּ ֖נים ֽל ֹא ֵ־א ֻ ֥מן ָ ֽבּם: their end will be, for they are a generation of changes; they are not [recognizable] as My children whom I have reared.

כא ֵ֚הם ִק ְנ ֣א ִוּני ְבל ֹא ֵ֔־אל ִֽכּ ֲﬠ ֖ס ִוּני ְבּ ַה ְב ֵל ֶ ֑יהם ַ ֽו ֲא ִ֙ני ,They have provoked My jealousy with a non god .21 provoked My anger with their vanities. Thus, I will provoke their ַא ְק ִנ ֵ ֣יאם ְבּל ֹא־ ָ֔ﬠם ְבּ ֥גוֹי ָנ ָ ֖בל ַא ְכ ִﬠ ֵ ֽיסם: jealousy with a non people, provoke their anger with a foolish nation.

כב ִֽכּ ֵי־א ֙שׁ ָ ֽק ְד ָ ֣חה ְב ַא ִ֔פּי ַו ִתּ ַ ֖י קד ַﬠד־ ְשׁ ֣אוֹל ַתּ ְח ִ ֑תּית For a fire blazed in My wrath, and burned to the lowest .22 ַו ֤תּ ֹ ַאכל ֶ֨אֶר ֙ץ ִֽוי ֻב ָ֔להּ ַו ְתּ ַל ֵ ֖הט ֽמ ְוֹסֵ ֥די ָהִֽרים: depths. It consumed the land and its produce, setting aflame the foundations of mountains.

כג ַא ְס ֶ ֥פּה ָﬠ ֵ ֖לימוֹ ָר ֑ﬠוֹת ִח ַ ֖צּי ֲא ַכ ֶלּה־ ָ ֽבּם: .I will link evils upon them. I will use up My arrows on them .23

כד ְמֵ ֥זי ָר ָ ֛ﬠב ְוּל ֻ ֥ח ֵמי ֶ ֖ר ֶשׁף ְוֶ ֣ ק ֶטב ְמִר ִ ֑ירי ְו ֶשׁן־ ְבּ ֵה ֹמ ֙ת ,They will sprout hair from famine, attacked by demons .24 ֲא ַשׁ ַלּח־ ָ֔בּם ִﬠ ֲם־ח ַ ֖מת ֽזֹ ֲח ֵ ֥לי ָﬠ ָ ֽפר: ,excised by Meriri. I will incite the teeth of livestock upon them with the venom of creatures that slither in the dust.

כה ִמ ֙חוּץ ְתּ ַשׁ ֶכּ ֶ֔ל־חֶרב וּ ֵ ֽמ ֲח ָדִ ֖רים ֵאי ָ ֑מה ַגּם־ ָבּ ֙חוּר From outside, the sword will bereave, and terror from .25 ַגּם־ ְבּ ָ֔תוּלה ֵ ֖יוֹנק ִﬠ ִ֥ם־אישׁ ֵשׂי ָ ֽבה: within; young men and maidens, suckling babes with venerable elders.

כו ָא ַ ֖מְר ִתּי ַא ְפ ֵא ֶ ֑יהם ַא ְשׁ ִ֥בּי ָתה ֵ ֽמ ֱא ֖נוֹשׁ ִז ְכָ ֽרם: I said that I would make an end of them, eradicate their .26 remembrance from mankind.

כז ֵ֗לוּלי ַ ֤כּ ַﬠס ֵאוֹי ֙ב ָא ֔גוּר ֶפּן־ ְי ַנ ְכּ ֖רוּ ָצֵ ֑רימוֹ ֶפּן־ ֽי ֹ ְאמ ֙רוּ Were it not that the enemy's wrath was heaped up, lest .27 ָי ֵ ֣דנוּ ָ ֔ר ָמה ְו ֥ל ֹא ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ָפּ ַ ֥ﬠל ָכּל־ ֽז ֹאת: their adversaries distort; lest they claim, "Our hand was triumphant! The Lord did none of this!"

כח ִכּ ֛י־גוֹי ֹא ַ ֥בד ֵﬠ ֖צוֹת ֵ ֑ה ָמּה ְו ֵ ֥אין ָבּ ֶ ֖הם ְתּ ָ ֽבוּנה: For they are a nation devoid of counsel, and they have no .28 understanding.

ל ֵאי ָ֞כה ִיְר ֤דֹּף ֶא ָח ֙ד ֶ֔א ֶלף ְוּשַׁ ֖נ ִ ים ָיִ ֣ניסוּ ְר ָב ָ ֑בה How can one [person] pursue a thousand, and two put ten .30 ִאם־ל ֹ֙א ִֽכּי־ ָ ֣צוּרם ְמ ָכָ ֔רם ַ ֽו ָ ֖יהוֹה ִה ְס ִגּ ָ ֽירם: thousand to flight, unless their [Mighty] Rock has sold them out, and the Lord has given them over?

לא ִ ֛כּי ֥ל ֹא ְכ ֵ ֖צוּרנוּ ָ ֑צוּרם ְו ֽ ֹאְי ֵ ֖בינוּ ְפּ ִל ִֽילים: ,For their rock is not like our [Mighty] Rock. Nevertheless .31 our enemies sit in judgment.

לב ִֽכּ ִי־מֶ ֤גּ ֶפן ְסדֹ ֙ם ַגּ ְפ ָ֔נם וּ ִמ ַשּׁ ְד ֖ ֹמת ֲﬠ ֹמָ ֑רה ֲﬠ ָנ ֵ֨ב ֙מוֹ For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the field of .32 ִﬠ ְנּ ֵב ֔י־רוֹשׁ ַא ְשׁ ְכּ ֥ת ְמרֹ֖רֹת ָ ֽלמוֹ: Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of rosh, and they have bitter clusters.

לג ֲח ַ ֥מת ַתּ ִנּ ִ ֖ינם ֵי ָ ֑ינם ְו ֥ר ֹאשׁ ְפּ ָתִ ֖נים ַא ְכָ ֽזר: Their wine is the bitterness of serpents, and the bitterness .33 of the ruthless cobras.

לד ֲהל ֹא ֖־הוּא ָכּ ֻ ֣מס ִﬠ ָמִּ ֑די ָח ֖תוּם ְבּ ֽא ְוֹצרֹ ָ ֽתי: ?Is it not stored up with Me, sealed up in My treasuries .34

לה ִ ֤לי ָנ ָק ֙ם ְו ִשׁ ֵ֔לּם ְל ֵ ֖ﬠת ָתּ ֣מוּט ַר ְגָ ֑לם ִ ֤כּי ָקרוֹ ֙ב ֣יוֹם Vengeance is poised with Me, and it will pay at the time .35 ֵא ָ֔ידם ְו ָ ֖חשׁ ֲﬠ ִת֥דֹת ָ ֽלמוֹ: their foot stumbles. For the appointed day of their reckoning is near, and what is destined for them hastens.

לו ִֽכּי־ ָי ִ ֤דין ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה ַﬠ ֔מּוֹ ְו ַﬠל־ ֲﬠ ָבָ ֖דיו ִי ְת ֶנ ָ ֑חם ִ ֤כּי ִיְר ֶא ֙ה When the Lord will judge His people, and will reconsider .36 ִכּ ָ ֣י־אְז ַלת ָ֔יד ְו ֶ ֖א ֶפס ָﬠ ֥צוּר ְו ָﬠ ֽזוּב: His servants, when He sees that the power is increasing, and none is controlled or strengthened.

לז ְו ָא ַ ֖מר ֵ ֣אי ֱא ֵ ֑הימוֹ ֖צוּר ָח ָ ֥סיוּ ֽבוֹ: Then He will say, "Where is their deity, the rock in which .37 they trusted,

לח ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ֵ ֤ח ֶלב ְז ָב ֵ֨חי ֙מוֹ י ֹ ֵ֔אכלוּ ִי ְשׁ ֖תּוּ ֵי֣ין ְנ ִסי ָ ֑כם who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of .38 ָי ֨קוּ ֙מוּ ְו ַי ְﬠ ְזֻר ֶ֔כם ְי ִ֥הי ֲﬠ ֵלי ֶ ֖כם ִס ְתָ ֽרה: their libations? Let them arise and help you! Let them be your shelter!

לט ְר ֣אוּ | ַﬠ ָ֗תּה ִ ֣כּי ֲאִ ֤ני ֲא ִ֙ני ֔הוּא ְו ֵ ֥אין ֱא ִ ֖הים ִﬠ ָמִּ ֑די See now that it is I! I am the One, and there is no god like .39 ֲאִ ֧ני ָא ִ ֣מית ַ ֽו ֲא ַחֶ֗יּה ָמ ַ֨ח ְצ ִ ֙תּי ַ ֽו ֲאִ ֣ני ֶאְר ָ֔פּא ְו ֵ ֥אין ִמָיּ ִ ֖די Me! I cause death and grant life. I strike, but I heal, and no one ַמ ִֽצּיל: !can rescue from My Hand

Sixth Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 32 מ ִֽכּ ֶי־א ָ ֥שּׂא ֶאל־ ָשׁ ַ ֖מִים ָי ִ ֑די ְו ָא ַ֕מְר ִתּי ַ ֥חי ָ ֽא ֹנ ִ ֖כי ְלעֹ ָ ֽלם: For I raise up My hand to heaven, and say, 'As I live .40 https://www.chabad.org/parshah/torahreading.asp?aid=2495834&jewish=Haazinu-Torah-Reading.htm&p=complete 4/8 9/24/2020 Ha'azinu Torah Reading - Parshah forever.'

מא ִאם־ ַשׁ ִ ֙נּוֹתי ְבַּ ֣רק ַחְר ִ֔בּי ְות ֹ ֵ ֥אחז ְבּ ִמ ְשׁ ָ ֖פּט ָי ִ ֑די When I sharpen the blade of My sword, and My hand .41 ָא ִ ֤שׁיב ָנ ָק ֙ם ְל ָצָ ֔רי ְו ִל ְמ ַשׂ ְנ ַ ֖אי ֲא ַשׁ ֵ ֽלּם: grasps judgment, I will bring vengeance upon My adversaries and repay those who hate Me.

מב ַא ְשׁ ִ ֤כּיר ִח ַ ֙צּי ִמ ָ֔דּם ְו ַחְר ִ ֖בּי תּ ֹ ַ ֣אכל ָבּ ָ ֑שׂר ִמַ ֤דּם I will intoxicate My arrows with blood, and My sword will .42 ָח ָל ֙ל ְו ִשׁ ְבָ֔יה ֵמ ֖ר ֹאשׁ ַפְּר ֥ﬠוֹת ֵ ֽאוֹיב: ,consume flesh, from the blood of the slain and the captives from the first breach of the enemy.'

מג ַהְרִ ֤נינוּ ִגוֹי ֙ם ַﬠ ֔מּוֹ ִ֥כּי ַדם־ ֲﬠ ָבָ ֖דיו ִי ֑קּוֹם ְו ָנ ָק ֙ם ָי ִ ֣שׁיב Sing out praise, O you nations, for His people! For He will .43 ְל ָצָ ֔ריו ְו ִכ ֶ ֥פּר ַא ְד ָמ ֖תוֹ ַﬠ ֽמּוֹ: avenge the blood of His servants, inflict revenge upon His adversaries, and appease His land [and] His people.

Seventh Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 32 מד ַו ָיּ ֣ב ֹא מ ֶ֗שׁה ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֛בּר ֶאת ָ־כּ ִל־דּ ְבֵ ֥רי ַה ִשּׁ ָ ֽירה ַ־ה ֖זּ ֹאת And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song into .44

ְבּ ָאְזֵ ֣ני ָה ָ ֑ﬠם ֖הוּא ְו ֵ ֥הוֹשׁ ַ ִבּ ֽן־נוּן: .the ears of the people he and Hoshea the son of Nun

מה ַו ְי ַ ֣כל מ ֶ֔שׁה ְל ַד ֵ ֛בּר ֶאת ָ־כּ ַל־ה ְדּ ָבִ֥רים ָה ֵ ֖א ֶלּה .And Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel .45

ֶא ָל־כּל־ ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֽאל:

מו ַו ֤יּ ֹ ֶאמר ֲא ֵל ֶה ֙ם ִ ֣שׂימוּ ְל ַב ְב ֶ֔כם ְל ָ֨כ ַל־ה ְדּ ָבִ ֔רים And he said to them, "Set your hearts to all of the words .46 which I bear witness for you this day, so that you may ֲא ֶ ֧שׁר ָ ֽא ֹנ ִ ֛כי ֵמ ִ֥ﬠיד ָבּ ֶ ֖כם ַה֑יּוֹם ֲא ֶ ֤שׁר ְתּ ַצֻוּ ֙ם ֶאת־ ְבּ ֵני ֶ֔כם ִל ְשׁ ֣ ֹמר ַ ֽל ֲﬠ ֔שׂוֹת ֶאת ָ־כּ ִל־דּ ְבֵ ֖רי ַה ָ ֥תּוֹרה ַה ֽזּ ֹאת: command your children to observe to do all the words of this Torah.

מז ִכּי ֽל ֹא ָ־ד ָ֨בר ֵ ֥רק ֙הוּא ִמ ֶ֔כּם ִכּ ֖י־הוּא ַח ֵיּי ֶ ֑כם For it is not an empty thing for you, for it is your life, and .47 וּ ַב ָדּ ָ ֣בר ַה ֶ֗זּה ַ ֽתּ ֲאִ ֤ריכוּ ָי ִמי ֙ם ַﬠ ָ ֣ל־ה ֲא ָד ָ֔מה ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ַא ֶ֜תּם through this thing, you will lengthen your days upon the land to ֽﬠֹ ְבִ ֧רים ֶאת ַ־הַיְּר ֵ ֛דּן ָ ֖שׁ ָמּה ְלִר ְשׁ ָ ֽתּהּ: ".which you are crossing over the Jordan, to possess it

מח ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֤בּר ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה ֶאל־מ ֶ֔שׁה ְבּ ֶ ֛ﬠ ֶצם ַה֥יּוֹם ַהֶ ֖זּה ,And the Lord spoke to Moses on that very day, saying .48

ֵל ֽ ֹאמר:

מט ֲﬠ ֵ֡לה ֶא ַל־ה ֩ר ָ ֽה ֲﬠ ָבִ ֨רים ַה ֶ֜זּה ַה ְר־נ ֗בוֹ ֲא ֶשׁ ֙ר Go up this Mount Avarim [to] Mount Nebo, which is in the .49 land of Moab, that is facing Jericho, and see the Land of ְבּ ֶ ֣אֶרץ ָ֔מוֹאב ֲא ֶ ֖שׁר ַﬠ ְל־פֵּ ֣ני ְיֵר ֑חוֹ ְוּר ֵא ֙ה ֶאת ֶ ֣־אֶרץ ְכּ ַ֔נ ַﬠן ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ֲאִ֥ני ֹנ ֵ ֛תן ִל ְבֵ ֥ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֖אל ַ ֽל ֲא ֻחָ ֽזּה: Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel as a possession,

ִמ ֶ ֽמּנּוּ: .wrath has turned away from them

ו ֶ ֽא ְהֶ֚יה ַכ ַטּ ֙ל ְל ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ִי ְפַ ֖רח ַכּ ֽשּׁ ַוֹשָׁ ֑נּה ְוַ ֥י ָשָׁר ָ ֖שׁיו ,I will be like dew to Israel, they shall blossom like a rose .6

ַכּ ְלּ ָב ֽנוֹן: .and it shall strike its roots like the Lebanon

ז ֵ ֽי ְל ֙כוּ ֽי ְוֹנ ָ֔קוֹתיו ִו ִ֥יהי ַכַ ֖זּ ִ ית ֑הוֹדוֹ ְוֵ ֥ר ַ ֽי ֖לוֹ ַכּ ְלּ ָב ֽנוֹן: Its branches shall go forth, and its beauty shall be like the .7 olive tree, and its fragrance like the Lebanon.

ח ָי ֻ֙שׁ ֙בוּ ֽיֹ ְשׁ ֵ ֣בי ְב ִצ ֔לּוֹ ְי ַח ֥יּוּ ָדָ ֖ג ן ְו ִי ְפְר ֣חוּ ַכָ ֑גּ ֶפן ִז ְכ ֖רוֹ Those who dwelt in its shade shall return; they shall revive .8 ְכֵּ ֥יין ְל ָב ֽנוֹן: like] corn and blossom like the vine; its fragrance shall be like] the wine of Lebanon.

ט ֶא ְפַ ֕ר ִים ַמה־ ִ֥לּי ֖ﬠוֹד ָ ֽל ֲﬠ ַצ ִ ֑בּים ֲאִ ֧ני ָﬠִ ֣ני ִתי ַ ֽו ֲא ֶ ֗שׁוּרנּוּ Ephraim; What more do I need the images? I will answer .9 ֲא ִ֙ני ִכּ ְב ֣רוֹשׁ ַ ֽר ֲﬠ ָ֔נן ִמ ֶ ֖מּ ִנּי ֶפְּר ְי ֥ ִנ ְמ ָ ֽצא: him and I will look upon him: I am like a leafy cypress tree; from Me your fruit is found.

י ִ֚מי ָח ָכ ֙ם ְוָי֣ ֵ ֽבן ֵ֔א ֶלּה ָנ ֖בוֹן ְוֵ ֽי ָ ד ֵ ֑ﬠם ִֽכּי־ ְי ָשִׁ ֞רים ַדְּר ֵ ֣כי Who is wise and will understand these, discerning and will .10 know them; for the ways of the Lord are straight, and the ְי ָ ֗הוֹה ְו ַצ ִדּ ִקי ֙ם ֵי֣ ְלכוּ ָ֔בם וּ ֽ ֹפ ְשׁ ִ ֖ﬠים ִי ָ ֥כּ ְשׁלוּ ָ ֽבם: righteous shall walk in them, and the rebellious shall stumble on them.

יט ָי ֣שׁוּב ְיַ ֽר ֲח ֵ֔מנוּ ִי ְכ ֖בֹּשׁ ֲﬠוֹ ֹֽנ ֵ ֑תינוּ ְו ַת ְשׁ ִ ֛לי ִבּ ְמ ֻצ ֥לוֹת He shall return and grant us compassion; He shall hide .19 ָי֖ם ָכּ ַל־חטּ ֹ ָ ֽאתם: our iniquities, and You shall cast into the depths of the sea all their sins.

כ ִתּ ֵ֚תּן ֱא ֶמ ֙ת ְלַ ֽי ֲﬠ ֔קֹב ֶ ֖ח ֶסד ְל ַא ְבָר ָ ֑הם ֲא ֶשׁ ִר־נ ְשׁ ַ ֥בּ ְﬠ ָתּ You shall give the truth of Jacob, the loving-kindness of .20 ַ ֽל ֲאבֹ ֵ ֖תינוּ ִ֥מי ֵמי ֶ ֽק ֶדם: Abraham, which You swore to our forefathers from days of yore.
