CITY OF BRISTOL (A4 BATH ROAD, BRISLINGTON, CITY OF BRISTOL) (SOUTH EASTERN ZONE) (RESTRICTED ROAD) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 201- NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol proposes to make an order under sections 82(2), 83(2) 84(1) and (2) of and the Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be:- 1. that no person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on the length of restricted road specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and 2. that no person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice. The order will:- (a) supersede the provisions in operation on A4 Bath Road which exist by virtue of the City and County of Bristol (Built-up Areas) No.2 Order 1935, as varied, and (b) supersede the 50 mph speed limit in operation on A4 Bath Road which exists by virtue of the County Council of Avon (A4 Bath Road and Durley Hill, Keynsham, City of Bristol and District of Wansdyke) (40 mph Speed Limit) (50 mph Speed Limit) (Revocation of 40 mph Speed limit) Order 1994, as varied - this order will be revoked accordingly. Exemption is provided in the order for vehicles when in use for special forces purposes. Full details of the proposal are contained in the draft order, which together with maps, copies of the orders to be varied and revoked, and a Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the order, may be inspected at the undermentioned offices (callers should ask for Statutory Orders, Legal Division) between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday and at Wick Road Public Library, Brislington during normal opening hours. Objections to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to the Head of Legal Services at the undermentioned address or by e-mail to [email protected] quoting reference CAE/RGW/P-730 by 6 th June 2011 .
