Veterans Upward Bound held their 24th annual awards banquet on Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Holiday Inn University Plaza. We here at VUB wish to extend our gratitude to all our guests who attended this year’s banquet and made it a success. We owe all our success to your participation in our program.

We were honored to have as our guest speaker, Army Veteran Shawn Stovall from South Central Community and Technical College.

We were also honored to have , a United States Air- force Veteran and the current Lt. of Kentucky in attendance and to participate in our missing man ceremony.

This year’s alumnus of the year recipient is Teresa Jameson. Teresa is a United States Air Force Veteran and currently works for the Testing and Counseling Center at Western Kentucky University. Shawn Stovall, Guest Speaker, USArmy Veteran, and Director of Career and The VUB Student of the Year recipient is Nichole Hudgens. Nichole Academic Planning at SKYCTC is a United States Army Veteran and is currently pursuing her nursing degree at Western Kentucky University.
