1 Area Affected (Last 24 Hours) Ser Province I Region Area Affected On 31 August 2020, due to heavy rains Rawal Dam has reached at its highest level. Spillway Gates of Rawal Dam to reduce thee operated on 31 August 2020 at 1100 hours level by 1.5 ft. Mosque announcements in areas close to Rawal Dam, advocating DC office message and asking rising a. Federal people to stay at home and alerting people regarding level of Rawal Dam. On 31 August 2020, Simly Dam has reached its Maximum Conservation Level. In order to avoid any pressure of water

downstream, one spillway gate is operated to reduce the level by 1 ft.

b. Balochistan NTR .On 30 August 2020, 2x houses fully damaged reported due to erosion by the flood in River Yarkhoon, District Upper

Chitral

Following road are closed due to heavy rains / landslides: - Link roads in Drosh Gole, Goas and Gromale washed away, District Lower Chitral.

C. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shishi-Madaklasht road and Golain access roads, District Lower Chitral. Reshun road due to collapsed of RCC bridge, District

Upper Chitral. Chital Booni Mastuj road at Rashun, District Upper Chitral. Kalwat road at Shagram, District Swat. On 31 August 2020, High Flood Level observed in Palku d Punjab Nallah at Wazirabad. No damages reported till now. Updates on Heavy Rains in Sindh Karachi (Urban Flooding) e. Sindh Following more damages reported:- Zamzama road cracked in Clifton. Page 3 of 9

1x building / flat damaged at main road ICI chowk.

Roof collapse of 1 x house at Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Colony. 3 storey building collapsed at Old Sabzi Mandi, no loss of life reported.

Following are the rescue and relief activities undertaken: .Dewatering operation continued at 32x sites including 7x sites in DHA. Currently 1x boats deployed at 1x sites for rescue operation. 8,422x individuals evacuated (112 rescued in last 24 hours). Underpass on Drig Road, Mohsin Bhoppali and Goli Mar/ Sir Syed have been cleared while work is in

progress to clear the following underpasses: -

KPT

Gizri. Punjab Chiwrangi. Food distributed among 92,663x individuals (6x Trucks(5 ton) and 2x Double Cabin vehicles detailed with Sayllani Trust for distribution of food and water) 67,000x water bottles distributed. 1x Water Bowzer ex Pak Rangers (Sindh) and 2x Water Bowzers ex Dawat-e-lslami are providing water at Sarjani town and surrounding. Tents and Tarpaulins distributed among flood affectees. 550x bedded relief camp at Expo Centre has been

established. Established 50x bedded hospital in SGD Surjani. Page 4 of 9

2x Advance Dressing Stations established at Qayyumabad and adi town to provide immediate emergency medical care (1,781 patients examined).

Army Mobile Recovery vehicles are deployed at various choke points to shift vehicles struck in flood to keep flow of traffic. 48x vehicles hauled using Integral Mobile Repair Teams / Recovery vehicles.

f.AJ&K NTR On 28-29 August 2020, landslide due to heavy rains at 44x location reported along KKH in Gilgit Baltistan. Fwo, NHA and District Administration machinery deployed and all landslides cleared. KKH is open for light traffic at Lal Parri and Raikot Bridge. Gilgit Baltistan On 30 August 2020, the main Khanbari track, District Diamer was completely destroyed due to heavy rains and floods District Administration Diamer and PND mobilised the resources for restoration of road communication.

4 Threatto Next Likely Areas. Areas along River Kabul and its tributaries. 5 River Discharges. River Indus at Chashma, Taunsa, Guddu, Sukkur and River Chenab at Trimmu are in low Flood level. All other major rivers are at below low flood level. Sharp peaks up to very high flood are expected at Upstream Mangla during next 36 Hours. Wide spread thunderstorm/ rain with heavy to very heavy falls is expected over the upper catchments of Rivers Kabul, Indus & Jhelum along with Islamabad and Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad. Lahore, Bahawalpur & D. G. Khan Divisions. Scattered wind-thundershower rain with isolated heavy falls is expected over the upper catchments of Rivers Chenab, Ravi & Sutlej along with East Balochistan, Sindh and Kohat, Bannu, D. I. Khan, Sahiwal & Multan Divisions. Rainfall activity over Southern parts of the Country is likely to decrease, while continue over upper half of the Country. Last 24 hours significant rainfall recorded is attached as Annex B. 8 Weather Advisory Press Release a. Met office informed on 28 August 2020 that another monsoon rain bearing system is likely to enter in Sindh on Saturday (29 August 2020). Under the influence of this system: (1) Rain/wind-thundershowers, with isolated heavy to very heavy falls, are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu Tharparker, Nagarparker, Mirpurkhas, Islam Kot, Umar Kot, Sanghar, Sukkur and Larkana from Saturday (evening) to Monday (29 August 2020 31 August 2020) which may further aggravate existing urban flooding/ water logging in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Mirpurkhas and Badin on Sunday and Monday. (2) Rain-thundershowers with isolated heavy fals are also expected in Lasbella, Khuzdar, Awaran, Barkhan, Zhob, Musa Khel, Loralai, Kohlu and Sibbi during Sunday and Monday (30 August 2020 31 August 2020) which may generate flash flooding in Sibbi, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbella and Dera Ghazi Khan during the period (3) Rain-thundershower are also expected in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanpur, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal and Sahiwal during the period. b Met office informed on 29 August 2020 that a strong rainy system is likely to approach in upper parts of the Country that will produce widespread rain with heavy fall at a number of places in Punjab, Upper KP, GB /AJK during Sunday (evening) to Tuesday (30 August 2020 to 1 September 2020). (1) Heavy to Very Heavy falls are also expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Toba Tek Singh from Monday to Wednesday (31 August 2020 to 2 September 2020) Heavy falls may also likely in Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Zhob and Barkhan. (2) Heavy to Very Heavy falls are also expected in Dir, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, Haripur, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Charsadda, Swabi, Mardan, Kohat and Kurram from Monday to Wednesday (31 August 2020 to 2 September 2020). (3) Heavy rainíall may generate urban / flash flooding and Land Sliding in Vulnerabile Areas from Monday to Tuesday (31 August 2020 to 1 September 2020). 9 Flood Warning / Alert. Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), PMD has informed that according to Latest Hydro-Meteorological situation, Monsoon has become active over Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Kashmir producing widespread thunderstorm/rains. This weather system is likely to persist over the areas during next 48 hours (31 August 2020 - 2 September 2020) with High probability of Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall in the catchment areas of River Kabul & its Tributaries along with Hill Torrents of D. G. Khan Division which may cause Medium to High Flood situation. 10. Daily Flood/Base Flow Data Obtained from India. 11. Warning /Alert. Keeping in view the higher water level in Mangla Reservoir (1,241.15 feet). Tarbela Dam (1,550 feet) and expected rains over the upper catchments of all the Major Rivers which may result in increasing discharge of surplus water from Mangla Dam and Tarbela Dam. Al relevant district administrations to sensitize the population residing near the river banks along River Chenab and Jhelum and to take necessary precautionary measures.
