On Friday, October 1, sixteen members of the The Rotary Club of Dunwoody family enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day on the fields of Peachtree Charter Middle School helping Special Olympians with softball skills events. Approximately 60 kids from five DeKalb County schools competed in four areas: hitting, throwing, running, and fielding. Smiles and high-fives abounded among the athletes and volunteers. Interim DeKalb County Schools Superintendent Ramona Tyson was in attendance, and Bonnie Powell, Director of DeKalb County Special Olympics thanked the Rotary Club of Dunwoody for three years of faithful service. one. Just stop by the Medicine Shoppe and identify yourself as a Rotarian. Dunwoody Rotarian, Gary Meyer of the Medicine Shoppe, has plenty of vaccine available. The cost is $30 and Gary will still donate $5 to Polio Plus for every vaccine given to a Rotarian. The Medicine Shoppe takes cash, checks, or credit cards (American Express, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) and will bill Medicare. You can find the Medicine Shoppe at 4675 N. With an unwavering dedication to their craft, the undeniable raw talent, and an energy and charm that inspires nothing short of a celebration, this young band, THE BELLEVILLE OUTFIT, of early twenty-somethings is firmly weaving their signature blend of pop, gypsy jazz, big band swing, and American roots music into the hearts of listeners across the country. They're wrapping up the writing and pre-production for their third album (due for release Spring 2011).
