It dawned on me this month, however, that what my par- ents left behind was a trail of faith. MIAMI | When I was invited to cover the journey to Washington, D.C., by a group of pilgrims from the Archdiocese of Miami, my initial thought was “Great!” When I found out that we would be travelling by bus for over 20 hours, I thought “OK. This is going to be a killer commute for my back and bottom.” As with all pilgrimages, some kind of sacrifice is required to at- tain the ultimate reward.
