1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SALUTING FORMER UNIVERSITY OF 2 MISSISSIPPI REBEL ELISHA (ELI) MANNING FOR WINNING THE 3 XLVI CHAMPIONSHIP AND EARNING MOST VALUABLE PLAYER 4 HONORS.

73 Manning, Eli has continued the long-standing family tradition of 74 athletic excellence; and 75 WHEREAS, Eli Manning and his wife, Abby, have supported many 76 worthy causes and have made a strong commitment to the health and 77 education of young people in Mississippi. They've made a pledge 78 to raise $2.5 Million for the Eli Manning Children's Clinics at 79 the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson, Mississippi, 80 and they've also donated $1 Million to start the Ole Miss

81 Opportunity Scholarship Program, which helps children in 82 Mississippi with special financial needs to have the opportunity 83 to attend college. Manning has served as a member of President 84 Bush's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and is active with 85 many other organizations such as the March of Dimes and the 86 American Red Cross.
