Dress at The Greenbrier
The Greenbrier enjoys the pleasure of hosting guests from all over the nation and the world. Throughout our history of more than 200 years, many traditions have been established to make the visits of all our guests among their most memorable experiences. The Greenbrier Dress Code is an important complement to the standards our guests expect and which distinguish our resort. The following requirements are considered appropriate dress in our dining and entertainment venues at different times of the day, as well as for activities. We hope that you will find that observance of these requirements adds to the pleasure and comfort of your visit.
Upper Lobby Morning to 6:30 pm Gentlemen: Shirts, sweaters, jackets and slacks, walking shorts, Bermuda shorts, business attire. Ladies: Sweaters, shirts or blouses, skirts or slacks, walking shorts, Bermuda shorts, business attire, dresses.
From 6:30 pm Gentlemen: Jacket suggested. Ladies: Dresses or evening suits.
Jeans, Tee shirts, tank tops, cut‐offs, short shorts, sweatpants, men’s hats and baseball caps are not permitted.
Main Dining Room
Breakfast Gentlemen: Shirts, sweaters, jackets and slacks, walking shorts, Bermuda shorts, business suits. Ladies: Sweaters, shirts or blouses, skirts or slacks, walking shorts, Bermuda shorts, business attire, dresses.
Dinner Gentlemen: Business suits or jackets and slacks; neckties required. Ladies: Dresses or suits.
Tee shirts, tank tops, cut‐offs, short shorts, sweatpants, men’s hats and baseball caps are not permitted. Jeans are not permitted at dinner.

The Casino at The Greenbrier

Sports/Recreational Activities
The Greenbrier Exercise Facilities
Appropriate attire for exercise activity is permitted in these areas only.
Golf, Golf Academy, Tennis Gentlemen: Collared sports shirts, golf and/or tennis sweaters, slacks, walking shorts, tennis shorts (for tennis only) or Bermuda shorts. Ladies: Sweaters, shirts or blouses, slacks, walking shorts, Bermuda shorts, golf and/or tennis shorts (for tennis only).
Horseback Riding and Other Outdoor Activities Appropriate attire for the specific recreational activity is required. Jeans are considered appropriate only for horseback riding, carriage rides, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, hunting preserve, Falconry Academy, gun club, The Greenbrier Off‐Road Driving School and at designated theme parties (group activities).
General Requirements Children 10 and older: Attire similar to that of adults.
Robes and swimwear may not be worn outside of guest rooms with the exception of the swimming pools and spa.
The Greenbrier Dress Code must be strictly enforced to ensure the greater enjoyment of all guests.
