PRESS INFORMATION HCIL to replace Passenger-Side Air Bag inflator of 575 units of CR-V (2004 model) and Driver-Side Air Bag inflator of 10,805 units of Accord (2003 – 2007 model) New Delhi, 15 May 2015: Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) today announced that it would carry out preventive replacement of Passenger Side Air Bag inflator of 575 units of CR-V manufactured in Year 2004 and Driver side Air Bag Inflator of 10,805 units of Accord manufactured from Year 2003 – 2007 as part of Honda’s global recall/ safety improvement campaign concerning Air Bag inflators. Additionally, the Passenger Side Air Bag Inflator of 1 unit of Civic of 2004 make will also be replaced. There has been no reporting of any incident related to this part in India. The replacement would be carried out free of cost at HCIL dealerships across India from 4 th June 2015 in a phased manner and the company will communicate with customers directly. Every car manufacturer in Indonesia are launching their newest model or some additional updates on their current model annually, this situation is a linear condition due to the high demand of new car, the competition of every car manufacturer has been very tight making every competitor must give their best effort on competing on each segment. The numbers of sales on private vehicle especially cars are increasing massively linear to the demand on Indonesian market on purchasing new car. The increasing economic background and the change of social economy supports this factor.
