The women were led by another stellar performance from junior All-American Jessica Ohanaja, who captured her fourth-straight title in the 60-meter hurdles with an NCAA automat- ic qualfiying time of 8.14. This marks the third time in the last two weeks that Ohanaja has equaled her personal best time of 8.14. The Lady Tiger foursome of juniors Brooklynn Morris and Deonna Lawrence, freshman LaTavia Thomas and sophomore Nickiesha Wilson qualified automatically for the NCAA meet in the women’s 4x400-meter relay with a season-best time of 3:31.77. Thomas also clocked an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:07.73 in her collegiate debut in the 800 meters. OHANAJA CLOCKS AUTOMATIC QUALIFYING TIME IN HURDLES Jessica Ohanaja became the first LSU athlete this season to post an NCAA automatic qualifying mark or time with a personal best 8.14 in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles to take top honors in the event at the Bayou Bengal Invitational on Jan. 26. Ohanaja’s time places her in sixth on the program’s all-time indoor performance list.
