Nordstrom to Open New Store at Santa Monica Place July 15, 2008 In Partnership with Macerich, Nordstrom also Announces New Plans for Two Existing Stores in California SEATTLE, July 15, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, announced it has signed a letter of intent with Macerich(R) (NYSE: MAC) to open a new Nordstrom store at Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica, Calif. The three-level, 122,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2010. The company also announced plans to relocate its existing Cerritos store at Los Cerritos Center and complete a remodel and expansion for its Broadway Plaza store in Walnut Creek, Calif. Santa Monica Place "Santa Monica is a wonderful community and an exciting retail environment where many of our customers visit, live and work," said Erik Nordstrom, president of stores for Nordstrom. "We compliment Macerich on their vision for the new Santa Monica Place, which we anticipate to be an outstanding shopping experience." "We're very pleased to welcome Nordstrom to the new Santa Monica Place," said Randy Brant, executive vice president, real estate, for Macerich. "The extraordinary appeal of Nordstrom is a great match for this exceptional market, and for what we believe will be a one-of-a-kind retail project two blocks from the beach in downtown Santa Monica." Santa Monica Place is being completely transformed from an existing 1980s-era, enclosed shopping center to a three-level, open-air retail destination that will include a signature rooftop dining deck. • THE SOUND of MUSIC Wednesday, October 7, 2015 Ahmanson Theatre, Los Angeles
experienceL.A. THE SOUND OF MUSIC Wednesday, October 7, 2015 Ahmanson Theatre, Los Angeles THE SOUND OF MUSIC The Sound of Music is a stage and film musical based on The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, the memoir of Maria von Trapp. The story takes place in Austria at the brink of World War II. Maria, a plucky nun turned governess, is charged with caring for the seven children of a military captain. Maria’s delightful teaching of music to the children leads to their becoming a celebrated touring act, the innocence of which is shattered as the realities of Nazi rule become inescapable. Notably, many details of the von Trapp family story were changed to increase the dramatic impact of the musical version. Inspired by a pair of German films about the von Trapps from the mid-1950s, the stage version of The Sound of Music premiered on Broadway in 1959. The production won multiple Tony Awards, and the show has been revived many times since, including a renowned 1998 Broadway revival. The 1965 film version starring Julie Andrews won five Academy Awards and is still beloved today by viewers around the world. Written by Rodgers and Hammerstein, the songs of The Sound of Music—including “My Favorite Things,” “Do, Re, Mi,” “Edelweiss,” and the title song—have been celebrated for more than half a century. RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN Composer Richard Rodgers and librettist Oscar Hammerstein were one of the most prolific, successful songwriting teams in the history of musical theatre. The pair’s first collaboration, Oklahoma! (1943), marked the start of a new theatrical genre: the musical play, which combined elements of musical comedy, operetta, and drama.

Figueroa Street, Room 1510 Los Angeles, CA 90012 Re: The Greek Theatre Concession Award - Response to Mayer Brown Letters of October 8, 2014 and October 20, 2014 Dear President Patsaouras and Honorable Commissioners: On behalf of Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. ("Live Nation"), we write in response to the October 8, 2014 and October 20, 2014 letters from Nederlander-AEG's legal counsel. Unfortunately, these letters are nothing more than additional attempts to confuse and delay the process after your staff and a five person independent panel of experts (the "Evaluation Panel") unanimously found that Live Nation by far delivered the superior proposal to operate the Greek Theatre for the next 20 years. Live Nation scored a total of 455 points out of a possible 500, whereas Nederlander-AEG only scored 396. Live Nation delivered a vastly superior proposal - it is that simple. This letter will demonstrate, and even the most cursory review of the two proposals will confirm, that Nederlander-AEG's proposal - like Nederlander's current operation of the Greek Theatre - leaves much to be desired. Whether it's the Nederlander-AEG proposal's inappropriate use of Patina Group venue photographs (Patina Group is not Nederlander's, but Live Nation's food and beverage partner), a capital improvement contribution that isn't even half of Live Nation's, or a misleading pro forma projecting revenue from up to 80 shows when the proposal guarantees 50 shows elsewhere, the 40-year incumbent's proposal was so flawed that it could only have come from a company with a self-entitled belief that it, and not the people of Los Angeles, own the Greek Theatre.
