PREPROFESSIONAL STUDIES The success of Loyola graduates in postgraduate professional studies testifies to the strong foundation that a Jesuit liberal arts education provides for careers in law, medicine, dentistry, nursing, social work, education, criminal justice, and business. The study of the liberal arts, coupled with investigation in a specialized field, offers undergraduates at Loyola a broad and substantial base from which to pursue any number of interests. Pre-professional students appreciate the rewards and challenges of a liberal arts education; they choose their specific academic programs based on their aptitudes and abilities; they develop multiple interests in and out of the classroom; and they gain practical experience by interning, working, or volunteering in a relevant career setting.
