 Classes will dismiss a few minutes early to allow for distancing and sanitizing between classes.  Masks are optional if you are fully vaccinated (please show vaccine card or photo of vaccine card to our office staff).  Masks are required for all students under age 12 and their instructors. Masks are required for all who are unvaccinated.  Students are asked not to arrive more than 10 minutes prior to class start time. Students should arrive fully dressed in their dance attire whenever possible.  Please limit personal belongings brought to the studio. All belongings should fit into a small backpack that can be neatly stored.  Social distance of 3-6 feet will be maintained whenever possible.  We ask that Junior, Intermediate, and Advanced students be dropped off for class whenever possible. Pre Ballet students should enter by themselves if possible; we will be hap- py to work with you if you have any concerns. Parents will be invited to re-enter 5 minutes prior to class end time to pick up their young student.  If it is your first time at our studio, parents are invited to come in with their student to meet our staff and tour our studio.  These guidelines will be updated based on the most current state and federal guidelines. BDA Class Descriptions & Dress Code Creative Movement I: Age 3 by the start of the term & Creative Movement II: Age 4 by September 1st | One Class per week | White /white skirt This magical class combines basic ballet steps, creative movement, and gross motor skills. Designed for preschool age students, children enjoy dancing and moving to music while learning basic ballet vocabulary and improving motor skills and flexibility. Students enjoy themed sessions with imaginative movement, fun and recognizable music, and in-studio performances at the end of each term. CM I: Wednesdays 4:00-4:45, Thursdays 3:45-4:30, Saturdays 10:15-11:00 | CM II: Wednesdays 4:45-5:30, Thursdays 3:45-4:30, Saturdays 9:15-10:00 Pre Ballet I: Age 5-6/Kindergarten & Pre Ballet II: Age 6-7/1st Grade | One Class per week | White leotard/white skirt This class builds on the skills developed in Creative Movement, with a greater emphasis on preparing the dancer for the study of . Students continue to enjoy themed sessions and in-studio performances at the end of each term. A jazz dance option is also offered (age 6 and up). Mondays 4:15-5:15 (PB I/II), Thursdays 4:15-5:15 (PB I), Thursdays 5:15-6:15 (PB II), Saturdays 9:00-10:00 (PB I/II), Jazz Saturdays 10:00-10:30 Junior I Track 1: Age 7-11, by placement only | One Class per week | Pink leotard This level is the dancers’ first study of classical ballet, and includes the students’ first experience with work. Students gain skill and confidence in technique, placement, and flexibility. This level includes ballet and character dance, as well as a jazz dance option. Tuesdays 4:15-5:45, Saturdays 10:30-12:00, Jazz Saturdays 10:00-10:30 Junior I Track 2: Age 7-11, by placement only | Two Classes per week required | Pink leotard This level adds a second class to the dancers’ schedule, to challenge the students and further develop their training. This level includes ballet and character dance, as well as a jazz dance option. Tuesdays 4:15-5:45 or Saturdays 10:30-12:00, Fridays 4:15-5:30, Jazz Saturdays 10:00-10:30 Junior II: By placement | Two Classes per week required | Light blue leotard Dancers continue to build their skill in technique, placement, terminology, focus, and flexibility. This level includes ballet, character dance, and a jazz dance option. Wednesdays 4:15- 5:30, Fridays 4:15-6:00, Jazz Saturdays 10:00-10:30 Junior III: By placement | Two Classes per week required | Navy blue leotard Dancers further refine their technique and begin the study of pre-pointe, which prepares the dancers’ feet and bodies for pointe work. This level includes ballet, character dance, pre- pointe, and a jazz dance option. Tuesdays 4:30-6:30, Thursdays 4:30-6:00, Jazz Thursdays 6:00-6:30 Junior IV: By placement | Three Classes per week required | Lavender leotard Dancers continue to focus on technique and alignment, while experiencing their first introduction to pointe work, with instructor permission. This level includes ballet, pre pointe, pointe introduction, character dance, and a jazz dance option. Mondays 4:45-6:45, Tuesdays 4:30-6:30 , Thursdays 4:30-6:00, Jazz Thursdays 6:00-6:30 Intermediate I/II/III: By placement | Three Classes per week required | Inter I Green, Inter II Red, Inter III Purple Dancers refine their technique in ballet, pointe, and jazz dance.
