Session 3: Explanation Of The Unholy Trinity | Chapters 12-13

Objective: We will seek to explain the unholy trinity of leaders represented in Revelation, particularly in chapters 12-13.

Question: What is the unholy trinity in the book of Revelation?

Unpacking The Answer: Revelation 12 and 13 provides a clear picture that the counterparts of the unholy trinity are Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet.

Explanation: A prevalent theme throughout the devil's scheming and sinister planning is his trickery that involves evilly imitating the ways of God. Just as Scripture puts forth an understanding of the Holy Trinity, so the devil will have his trinity, but it will be utterly unholy.

+ The first member of the unholy trinity is Satan, the dragon of Revelation 12.

+The second member of the unholy trinity is the Antichrist, as referenced in Revelation 13 and Daniel 7.

+The third individual of the unholy trinity is the false prophet as defined in Revelation 13:11-18.

Satan is the anti-God, the beast is the anti-Christ, and the False Prophet the anti-Spirit. The target of their evil work will be both believers and unbelievers.
