Weight Loss and Fat Burning WEIGHT LOSS AND FAT BURNING: SUCKERS, SCAMS, LIES, FAD DIETS, BOGUS PRODUCTS, AND HOW NOT TO BECOME A VICTIM OF THE WEIGHT-LOSS INDUSTRY AND HOW TO START LOSING FAT NOW! BY: ALEXANDER MATTHEW ROGERS "Almost more than any other [market], the weight-loss industry is fad driven. Also, unfortunately, it is fraud driven." -Richard Cleland, assistant director of the Division of Advertising Practices at the Federal Trade Commission. A Note from the Author If you have ANYTHING to do with the weight-loss industry, whether you sell a fat burner, sell an appetite suppressant, promote a fad diet, sell an ab machine, pimp a weight loss book, and/or sell some sort of diet plan, you’re going to hate me after reading this book. If you have NOTHING to do with the weight-loss industry and want to lose body fat and look good, you’re going to love me after reading this book. For my haters, “fuck you, it's payback time.” For my fans, “Read on and spread the knowledge” so we can get revenge on these bastards, kings of deceit and lies, queens of scum, and purveyors of poop. The weight-loss industry is nothing but a rip-off, and this book is going to give you the low-down on this dirty industry. Not only that, but once you understand how the weight-loss industry is scamming everyone left and right, you’ll know not to fall victim. Education and knowledge is the key to losing fat. This book will provide enough of both to begin, sustain, and hopefully accomplish your weight loss goals. -Alex Rogers WEIGHT LOSS AND FAT BURNING: SUCKERS, SCAMS, LIES, FAD DIETS, BOGUS PRODUCTS, AND HOW NOT TO BECOME A VICTIM OF THE WEIGHT-LOSS INDUSTRY AND HOW TO START LOSING FAT NOW! Introduction irst, let me warn you. I really don’t care if I'm going to insult you or not. This book is not about hurting your feelings and then making you feel better because I'm trying to F sell you some sort of stupid weight loss diet. I already got your money. You bought this book from me. So again, what I'm about to say, and what I am going to say, is going to hurt your feelings. I don’t have anything or any agenda that I'm trying to make money off from—unlike every single weight loss product out there, from television shows to diets pills, whose ONLY agenda is to get your money, I don’t have an agenda. The weight-loss industry is nothing more than a scam to get your money. Everything associated with the weight-loss industry is just a way to suck money out of your wallet. Let me say that again in case you read over it. EVERYTHING associated with the weight-loss industry is a scam to get your money. And they prey on one thing and one thing only, YOU, and your constant and consistent failures. Why do you think there are so many diet pills? Why do you think there are so many diet plans? Why do you think there are so many diet books? Why do you think there are so many different abdominal machines? Why do you think there are so many television shows about weight loss? Why do you think there are so many fitness celebrity trainers? Why do you think there are so many exercise routines? Why do you think there are so many weight loss videos? The reason is simply, because none of them work. They are all just cleverly marketing schemes to get your money. Sure, they might “work” for some people, but for most people, they don't work. And there are many reasons for that. One of the reasons is that you were stupid. Stupid enough to buy that weight loss product. You were sucked in by the girl with the abs and the big fake tits. Or you were mesmerized by the before and after pictures. Or you read the reviews on the internet message boards about how great the product is. Or you watched that television show where everyone on the show lost massive amounts of lard. Or you actually believed it was some new routine or diet that was so cutting edge that it must be right. Yeah, right you gullible idiot! So what are you going to get out of this book, six pack abs? An ass that looks like an apple? Get rid of that nasty looking cellulite on your hamstrings? Well, you just might, but let me tell you right now so I don’t waste your time. This book is not going to give you some secret to fat loss. There’s no diet or supplement or exercise machine that is going to help you lose weight. I don’t have a routine or new cutting edge weight loss plan. I don’t Copyright © 2012 Alexander Matthew Rogers All Rights Reserved Page | 6 WEIGHT LOSS AND FAT BURNING: SUCKERS, SCAMS, LIES, FAD DIETS, BOGUS PRODUCTS, AND HOW NOT TO BECOME A VICTIM OF THE WEIGHT-LOSS INDUSTRY AND HOW TO START LOSING FAT NOW! have any dumb-ass celebrity that is going to recommend my book. I wrote this book because I got sick of all the bullshit associated with the weight-loss industry. Listen, I don’t give a rat's ass if you lose YOUR money, but I care if these assholes are making money off of scamming people. And yeah, maybe it is jealousy, but I do have a reason for being a revengeful son-of-a-bitch. I’ll explain that later is this book. Therefore, let me start by saying this. You’re an overweight, fat, lazy, gutless, immature, son-of-a-bitch! Yeah, F-you too!! Oh wait, you're not? You lost 15 pounds and everyone says you look great in your CLOTHES!! Okay.… take off all of your clothes and go to a full-length mirror and jump up and down. If you didn’t throw up from watching all your fat jiggle, now tell me if you're still not a fat pig. Ha-ha! I don’t want to hear your excuses on why you're fat; trust me, I've heard them all, and quite honestly, why the hell are you concerned with making excuses to ME; like I said, I can care less about your big fat ass. You're the one who needs to lose weight, not me. So if you're set on excuses put some ketchup on this book and eat it right now. I don’t want you to read my book. But if you want to take it like a man and start to lose weight, keep this book, accept the fact that you’re fat because of YOU, and continue reading. I'm writing this book with minimal amounts of research. I don’t care about foot notes and other bullshit. I don’t steal people’s thoughts or plagiarize. Some of the stuff I say might not be right, and I could care less. I'm not writing a book about scientific research studies about weight loss. If you don’t believe me, look it up yourself. Like I said, I'm not here to prove anything to you. I don’t have a diet that I'm trying to sell you or any dietary supplement that I'm trying to prove to you that it works because of some bogus university clinical study. This book is simply my opinion. But it’s an opinion that carries a lot of weight. I’m not a certified personal trainer. I’m not a doctor or Ph.D. I don't hold any college degrees in nutrition or exercise physiology. What I am is a guy who lives on the inside of the dietary supplement industry.

Functional Foods in Health and Disease 2017; 7(9); 702-715. https://doi.org/10.31989/ffhd.v7i9.346 ABSTRACT Fad diets can be defined as any diet making claims that are unrealistic and not supported by evidence-based data. Having been developed since the early 19th century, fad diets promise drastic weight loss and/or other unsubstantiated health claims while often omitting entire food groups. Their popularity with the public makes them an important topic for nutritionists and clinicians, especially in the framework of the obesity epidemic. Additionally, it is conceivable that components of fad diets can indeed facilitate weight loss, even if the diet overall is without merit. The grapefruit diet, the cabbage soup diet, and the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) diet are among the most popular fad diets and are reviewed within this study not only in terms of the diet plan itself, but also in terms of possible and known weight loss and health benefits provided by the foods on which the diets are based.

  • Diets – Is There Enough Evidence to Recommend Any of Them?
August 2019 Newsletter Accelerating research towards a cure for multiple sclerosis MS Diets – Is there enough evidence to recommend any of them? A nutritious, well-balanced diet combined with other healthy lifestyle choices (exercise and refraining from smoking) is the foundation of good health not only for people with MS, but also for the general public. Healthy eating includes foods that are rich in fiber and low in saturated fat, such as lean proteins, whole grains, vegetables and fruit. The foods you should avoid are just as important, such as processed foods, as well as those high in sugar and salt. Eating in this manner helps the body’s everyday functions, promotes optimal body weight and can help with disease prevention. While there is no specific diet that will prevent or cure MS, there is evidence to support that eating certain foods and nutrients, and avoiding others, may help a person’s MS symptoms and disease activity. A recent study shows that diet can influence the course of inflammatory diseases in two ways. Dietary factors can directly impact the metabolic process of inflammation in cells. What you eat can also change the mix of “good” and “bad” bacteria in the digestive tract (the gut microbiome). A healthy digestive tract is populated by a great number of microorganisms living in balance. A disruption of this balance can have a significant impact on one’s health, specifically the chronic, systemic inflammation that occurs in diseases such as MS. Nutrition is a hot topic in MS research. Many studies reveal an added benefit for people with MS to the “usual” benefits of adhering to a healthy diet.
