Placements: MEC students from the 2014 batch were interviewed by over 30 international brands, and a majority of students opted for careers found placements among these

These brands included corporate giants from Japan and global leaders like Microsoft, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, GAP Inc and Voltas, among others. The average salary package offered was 7.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered to some students was 30 LPA.

Infrastructure: MEC features spacious seminar halls, lecture theatres, lecture halls, and tutorial rooms which is providing the right atmosphere for in-class learning and after-class discussions between teachers and students. There are state-of-the-art labs which enable students to deepen their classroom learning through practical application. The campus is vast and offers recreational facilities like a variety of outdoor and indoor activities. Accommodation and dining facilities at MEC are good than other Indian engineering colleges. Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant. Professors are helpful and highly qualified, and all are PhD holders. MEC has tie-ups with global standards of excellence. Housing laboratories are equipped to effectuate ground-breaking inventions and innovations under the supervision of faculty members who are highly accomplished and dedicated scholars in their respective fields with industry, research and academic experience.

Placements: Students were interviewed by over 30 international brands and most of them opted for abroad studies while the others got placed in top companies like Infosys, Dell, L & T, , Capgemini, and Byjus. Whereas others opted for research opportunities within the campus itself. Students were also provided research internships abroad at Florida University, University of Texas, and NTNU Norway. In the year 2018, the average salary package offered was 7.5 LPA while the highest being 30 LPA. In the year 2019, the average salary package offered was 7.5 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 75 LPA. More than 40 recruiters have conducted off-campus and internship processes and selected maximum students who are interested and eligible. The internship cell is most of the time inactive and is now picking up pace with time. Students have to approach professors for internships or search on their own. Infrastructure: We have a basketball court, 2 volleyball courts, cricket, table tennis and football ground inside the campus. The offices are also inside campus we have a common

Inside the campus, we have a supercomputer, computer labs, and also interview rooms along with a medium-size library with required books. It doesn't have a great book collection. We have 3 types of classrooms and a large lecture hall, tutorial rooms, and seminar halls. Large lecture halls are spacious for the whole batch sitting for common subjects. We have tutorial rooms for small divided batches for solving tutorial sheets and doubts and seminar halls is a medium-sized hall for branch-wise divided batches. We have a media lab for movie making and learning about media. There is a research lab for conducting or doing research on various things. Wi-Fi is available 24 hours on the campus as well as in hostels. While hot water has timings morning from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, evening 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Each non-air-conditioned hostel room is shared by 2 people which has individual balcony and bathroom is attached. There are no air-conditioned hostels. The hostel is amazing, and it has a good view, comfortable and every alternate day the cleaners clean the room. But laundry here is common for both office workers who live inside the campus as well as for students so it's a bit difficult as he never gives on time. But we have a washing machine for each hostel of 2 floors but it's always dirty. It is insufficient for the entire hostel to manage with 1 washing machine. We have shifts for the washing machine but nobody cares. The canteen is good but with fewer choices like juice center, sandwiches and Maggi shop, Frankie shop, snack shop, also it serves buffet 3 times, and the mess is mostly good. It serves non-vegetarian food on 2 days i.e., on Wednesday and Sunday is chicken biriyani with either ice cream or cool drink which is amazing. On Friday its egg. We have rotis and rice all the time except for Tuesday night its Chinese cuisine. Sometimes the food served in the mess is bad so we go down to the canteen. There is a mini-hospital but the doctor is not available all the time. There is no medical shop but a general store is available but doesn't sell everything. We have a barbershop only for gents. Faculty: All the faculty members here are Ph.D. holders but most of them are not able to teach properly or don't know how to explain despite being knowledgeable. We have some experienced core subject teachers like Prafulla mam, Manipal sir, and Ramamurthy sir in the CS field. They are excellent at teaching and understood the subject well. They use PPP slides for teaching in classes. They sometimes conduct lab tests and also helpful in doubt clearing. The course curriculum is relevant but not sure about making students industry- ready. As the college is new, only 3 batches have passed out till now. So the curriculum is not up to the mark. It still needs to be updated. It has to properly arrange industry visits and educational trips. Other: I wish there are more students' intake and girls ratio for boys to be increased. The

It's very boring inside the campus and there is a large disparity among students and students group themselves based on the place where they come from and show a lot of attitudes if otherwise, we try to mingle with other groups especially for the most of them. Peer interaction between seniors and juniors is less and students don't enjoy much hostel life and most of them being lazy. Its overall boring life if we don't meet the right group of students. Extracurricular clubs are very poor and no club is properly functioning for more than a month. The student council is not formed in a proper way and doesn't conduct the proper competitions. They don't give enough budget for fests so its always not so good. Hackathons keep happening for all branches along with some guest lectures every Thursday. I want college to provide more budget for fests and should encourage more student participation.

4.0 Placements 3 Infrastructure 5 Faculty & Course Curriculum 4 Crowd & Campus Life 5 The college is not worth the money paid. Placements: Some top recruiting companies like Dell, Microsoft, Schlumberger, DST and Telstra visit our college for placements, but they hire only a few students. Most of the students want to opt for higher studies. If you do not get any job in campus placements, then they said they would provide a job in Tech Mahindra. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The hostel facility is good, and the food served is good. The college provides a small gym. All sports courts are open until 10 pm, and you can play in them. The strength of this college is low, so the college will not conduct sports competitions. Food served in the tiffin and lunch will be great. Food served in the dinner disappoint us most of the times.

Faculty: I think some change is required in the course curriculum as it puts all pressure at a time. The college provides projects, but you should not expect any spoon-feeding here. There is no mandatory attendance, so even if you bunk classes, then no one is going to question you. Maximum faculty members in our college are well qualified. Other: I have chosen this course because of my parents. The college organises many fests and events. Top 11 students in every branch are offered with a scholarship of 1 lac. In the first year, they will give you scholarship based on your JEE Mains marks, and after

P Prudhvi krishna T ... | B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020 Verified Reviewed on 4 Mar 2020 4.8 Placements 4 Infrastructure 5 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 5 Infrastructure, teachers and everything is good, but students need more placements. Placements: About 5% of the students from the mechanical branch got placed. The highest salary package offered is 11 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Saint Gobain is the top and good company. The top role offered to the students is an employee. Many students didn't get the internship in which they are interested, but they were satisfied with the job they got. Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure, labs and everything. There are top class labs, and they have even started an incubation centre for students who are interested in startups. The hostel in which we are staying is different from our juniors hostel. However, we have attached bathrooms, and the rooms were huge in our hostels. Whereas juniors don't have attached bathrooms, and they have bit small rooms. Food was not of that quality or taste except in Mahindra Ecole Centrale. The sports were also taken good care by the authorities. We go to many sports fests every year, and we have our own fest called AIRO. Faculty: Faculty members at MEC were well-qualified, and everyone was from IIT or NIT. Teaching faculty members are the best, and teaching quality is also very good. There is a friendly relationship between students and teachers, which makes the atmosphere in the college very lively. The course curriculum is directly adopted from CentraleSupélec University in France. They have the best course curriculum, and it is highly relevant. Students are industry-ready. Other: I have chosen this course because I am very much interested in automobiles. The best thing about our course is HOD named Ranjith Kunnath is the best, and he is from Harvard. He treats us all very well as his kids. There is nothing to improve about our course, and the college has increased placements for mechanical students also. Many events took place on our campus. We have hosted 3 ted talks to date. We have our own fest called Aether, many cultural nights and DJ nights take place on the campus for students. Every year top 12 candidates in the branch get a scholarship of 1 lac.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 29-Apr-2021. 4.8 Placements 4 Infrastructure 5 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 5 It's a great place to have great opportunities, good teachers, great labs, but fees should be less. Placements: About 39% of the students from our course got placed in core companies like Amazon, Oracle, etc. About 45% of the students got selected in companies like L&T, Tech Mahindra and Siemens. The highest salary package offered was 34 LPA in Amazon, and the lowest salary package offered was around 4.6 LPA. Mostly 75% of the students prefer to go abroad and continue their studies. Most of them don't prefer placements, which is the problem here.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best. There are air-conditioned classrooms, huge lecture theatres, and the Wi-Fi is good but doesn't have high speed. Labs are the best, and you get Labs and everything digitally. There are no some things like metres. The library is fantastic, and there is an on-campus hostel. In a room, there are 2 students. The food served is delicious and awesome. Our college provided 24x7 medical facility and a good gymnasium.

Faculty: The main reason for me to join in this college is faculty members. They all are PhD holders from renowned IITs and NITs and even from foreign universities like Mexican, American, Singapore, etc. There is a French course in our curriculum. I strongly recommend that if you want to join in this college see the faculty members profile on our college website which has all details. The course curriculum is relevant, and I think it makes students industry-ready because I didn't do any internship in any industry yet.

Other: I like electronics, so I chose this course. The best things about our course are Gates and logics. I wish that our college should add a little bit of syllabus. Our college organises events like Aether, which is good and organises some fests every month. The campus has a total strength of almost 1,000 students. But the fee here is hectic, i.e., 6 LPA.

Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, L&T etc. There is a separate online portal for internships, where

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 29-Apr-2021. we can apply for the internships.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not so good over here. Coming to the Labs, Classrooms, Library. Those are very good! Hostel food is good over here. Everything is fine like sports, medical facilities etc. Hostels are great over here. The college has cafe coffee day in the campus itself. Faculty: The teachers are helpful here. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. We can say that their teaching quality can reach higher standards. The course curriculum is relevant. But some subjects are involved here which aren't necessary to the students.

4.4 Placements 4 Infrastructure 5 Faculty & Course Curriculum 4 Crowd & Campus Life 5 A review of MEC - Mahindra Ecole Centrale. Placements: Mahindra Ecole Central has a placement cell led by industry experts. They have been successful in getting many companies to the institute despite having very ordinary exposure for this college. However, the number of students selected by these companies has varied. About 10 companies have visited the campus to hire the students of the mechanical department, and about 10 students were selected among all. But, the number of placements in CSE is higher. Few companies including Mahindra and Mahindra, Technip FMC, Keolis, Raam Group, and Byju's, etc., have visited the campus to offer placements. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest package was 4 LPA. I would say that the placement office is very dedicated, and our college did a lot better than many other reputed institutes. Many companies offered PPOs and internships too. The college has allowed students to take internships in the final semester without the burden of mid-exams and assignment submissions. Overall, I would say that if your CGPA is more than 7.5, then you have good chances of getting placed from the institute. Infrastructure: I would say the college has a state-of-the-art infrastructure. Top quality classrooms, labs, cafeteria, gym, 24/7 medical assistance, volleyball courts, indoor stadium, amphitheatre, and library are available on the campus. High-speed Wi-Fi facility is also available on the campus and hostels. The institute has probably the best hostel rooms in the state, and the quality of food served in the mess is great. Although the fee structure is high, it is worth every penny. There is no issue with the infrastructure of the institute. Faculty: All the faculty members in the college are highly qualified and are PhD holders from reputed institutes in the country. Although some of them have no talent in teaching, I would

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 29-Apr-2021. say those faculty are members are very fewer when compared to other institutes. The professors have great contacts with industry and are responsible for many internships and placements of students. The student to faculty ratio is 10:1 which is another plus point. The faculty are very encouraging and helpful. We have both lectures and tutorials to gain practical experience. Many courses are offered in the college. We study almost 9 subjects in our 3rd semester. The course curriculum is difficult but designed to make our lives easier in masters. Courses like entrepreneurship, economics, film making, personality development, social sciences, organisation behaviour, management and finance, etc., are offered to make engineers ready for industry along with the conventional subjects. French is a compulsory course for 2 years as the college is French-collaborated. We even had few lecturers from Ecole Central, Paris for selected courses.

Other: The college conducts a cultural fest named Ecole Tyohar, technical fest named Aether and a sports fest named Airo. The institute encourages its students to participate in all the competitions and events happening around and also provides transportation and food facilities. The college intake is just 240 students per year, so the crowd in the college is good. The one disappointing thing is that the college is isolated and you need to travel at least 20 minutes to go anywhere. The college is located inside the Tech Mahindra campus, and hence, you can interact with its employees. The college provides scholarships to top 10 students in each branch worth Rs. 1 lac per year. The fee structure is Rs. 24 LPA which is worth for a B.Tech degree only if you are ready to work hard.

Placements of the next batch already look much more promising, and there are many students interning in different famous international institutions. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Hostel facilities are very good compared to the facilities offered in other institutions. Labs also have good equipment, that help students gain much required practical knowledge. Classrooms are aesthetically pleasing to sit and provide a good environment to learn.

The college offers value for money with good faculty and one of the best infrastructures. Placements: Placements for the senior batch were very average as it was the first batch that graduated, we expect better placements this time. This year, the placements seem much more promising as many companies with better packages have already visited the campus for recruitment.

Infrastructure: The college has one of the best infrastructures in the country. The sports facilities are very good, and almost all the sports can be played here. The classrooms and labs are state-of-the-art and better than many of the colleges. The hostel and mess are the best that an engineering college can offer.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are very good, and all the professors have a doctorate. Their knowledge and the way they convey their message is very nice. The college also has a mentoring programme where 5 students are assigned a mentor to discuss their problems not only related to studies. The curriculum is similar to the MIT (USA) and does focus on other aspects apart from our core field. Other: The technocultural fest organised in the college is called Aether and the sports fest conducted here is called Airo.

The placement percentage was 100% for the students who applied through college.

We have a mess committee who suggests menu items by keeping in mind the nutrition and taste of students. Hostel rooms are like a 3 and 4-star hotel rooms with attached washrooms in the old blocks.

Faculty: Almost all the faculty members in our college are PhD holders. They are very approachable and helpful to students. Companies that visited the campus to offer placements were all B or C grade companies with the highest package being 30 LPA. However, there were students who got placed in better companies through personal contacts with a package of about 70 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. We have laboratories set up or going to be set up for all the subjects. We have equipment that facilitates all projects that a student might take up during their course of 4 years. Even if some equipment is unavailable, the college will arrange it if required. Faculty: The faculty members in our college are extremely knowledgeable and approachable. They have a very good relationship with their students that allows students to be friendly and comfortable with them. The course in this college is a little different from other colleges as the French collaboration incorporates some effects on our curriculum. We pay a little more attention to core subjects. Other: Fests and activities are conducted throughout the year. This offers a good opportunity for students to develop leadership skills and also have fun in the process.
