1 Overview

1.1 Introduction On the week commencing 05/12/2016 the Bureau of Meteorology undertook an audit of the flash flood monitoring network for the City of Parramatta (CoP). This audit was undertaken to ascertain site locations, what instrumentation is currently in service, the condition of the instrumentation, and radio path quality to the Parramatta Repeater (Valentine Ave).

1.2 Outcomes  All the sites are in good condition and current maintenance procedures and schedules should be continued.  There are some missing gauge plates at the river sites, Redbank Rd and Loyalty Rd Basin, these should be replaced.  All current ERRTS sites will be able to send data to CoP Enviromon base station via ERRTS repeater network.  CoP sites Lake Parramatta (Rain and River) and McCoy Park will be able send data via the CoP SCADA system to Enviromon once the proposed .hcs data transfer is established.  Sydney Water Operated sites without ERRTS systems (Blacktown BC and Seven Hills Reservoir) will not feed data to Enviromon unless a data transfer process with Sydney Water is established.  The CoP site Riverside site currently is maintained by Manley Hydraulics Laboratory (MHL) and will not feed data to Enviromon unless a data transfer process is established.  The WaterNSW site Toongabbie Briens Rd currently cannot send data to Enviromon unless a data transfer process with WaterNSW is established.
