INFO FOR CONCESSIONAIRES
BroadwaySF receives a 15% commission on all sales, net of sales tax, unless a different commission has been negotiated in the contract. All displays, personnel, taxes and insurance, including Worker’s Compensation, required for the sale of merchandise will be provided by the Company.
Storage, selling locations and lobby access are different for all three theaters. Please consult the tech specs for the particular theatre’s information. The Company agrees to abide by the Presenter’s rules and regulations regarding placement of displays and methods of selling.
The General BroadwaySF rules regarding show merchandisers are:
• Set Up: The theatres do not supply tables or tablecloths. Selling tables or booths must be consistent with the Theatre décor.
You must be at the theatre to accept deliveries. BroadwaySF will not accept or sign for any merchandise.
Please consult with House Management or the Head Usher regarding set up. San Francisco has very stringent fire codes, so your set up locations could be limited.
• Selling: Dress should be appropriate for the theatre. Opening nights are business attire; other performances can be business attire or business casual.
During the performance and/ or when not selling, please do not eat, drink or sleep in the lobby.
BroadwaySF is not responsible if you leave your table unattended.
Settlement must be made with the House Manager no later than Tuesday of the following week. If you do not settle at this time, you will be jeopardizing your right to sell. On the final week, settlement must take place after the final performance.
Ethernet and/or analog lines are available, for a fee. Please inquire with the House Manager for your venue.

Alcatraz Cruises http://www.alcatrazcruises.com/ Pier 33, SF (415) 981-7625
Alcatraz and history go hand in hand. Once home to some of America's most notorious criminals, the federal penitentiary that operated here from 1934 to 1963 brought a dark mystique to the Rock. The presence of infamous inmates like Al "Scarface" Capone, and the "Birdman" Robert Stroud helped to establish the island's notoriety. To this day, Alcatraz is best known as one of the world's most legendary prisons. Many people, though, are unaware of the wealth of other stories to be learned on the island. Alcatraz is now home to rare flowers and plants, marine wildlife, and thousands of roosting and nesting sea birds. Civil War-era buildings dotting the island give insight into the 19th century when the island served as both a harbor defense fort and a military prison. You can also see visible reminders of the American Indian Occupation that started in 1969 after the prison closed, highlighting an important milestone in the American Indian rights movement. Come experience the beauty, history and infamy of Alcatraz on the San Francisco Bay. You'll be astounded by what you learn and see.

Fun Facts about San Francisco
San Francisco’s reputation as a cultural melting pot is well deserved. Nearly every country in the world – from the enormous to the minuscule – is represented somewhere within our petite 49 square miles. San Francisco is surrounded on three (3) sides by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. San Francisco crowds the tip of the San Francisco Peninsula. Known to locals as, “The City”, San Francisco is the fourth most populated city in California, and the thirteenth most populated city in the United States - with a population of approximately 800,000.
San Francisco is blessed with a temperate marine climate and enjoys mild weather year-round. Morning and evening fogs roll in during the summer months, but rarely persist. Don’t leave your hotel/apartment without having a light jacket or coat handy. An all weather coat will take the chill off cool evenings. Lightweight summer clothes are seldom practical in San Francisco. The rainy season is in the winter – mostly December & January.
“Why isn’t the Golden Gate Bridge gold? Why is it orange?” Actually, this landmark isn’t named for its color, but for the entrance to San Francisco Bay, dubbed the “Golden Gate” some 150 years ago by the prospectors who passed through it on their way to California’s gold fields. The color is called “international orange” and was chosen by consulting architect Irving Morrow, who rejected the traditional gray or black in favor of the color he thought best complemented the bridge’s natural setting.
Before moving to New York City, the United Nations was located in San Francisco.
San Francisco’s delightful diversity is perhaps most evident in it’s neighborhoods. San Francisco is a city without borders.
Chinatown, is twenty-four (24) blocks of exotic shops, renowned restaurants, food markets, temples and small museums.
North Beach, rich in Italian heritage, compresses cabaret, jazz clubs, galleries, inns, family style restaurants and gelato parlors into less than a square mile. The longest running musical revue in theatre history, “Beach Blanket Babylon”, is housed in North Beach’s Club Fugazi.
Union Street, the first neighborhood in San Francisco to convert its gingerbread Victorians into popular boutiques, art galleries and restaurants.
Japantown, its heart is Japan Center, a five-acre complex of hotels, shops, theatres, sushi bars. Locals call it J-Town and is home to 12,000 residents of Japanese descent.
South of Market, also known as “SOMA” is two square miles of hot nightclubs, restaurants, experimental theatres, discount shopping outlets and art galleries.

The Mission, is the heart of San Francisco’s predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, and is home to a collection of restaurant, taquerias, Mexican bakeries, produce markets and specialty shops. Mission Dolores (16th & Dolores) is the oldest structure in San Francisco.
Nob Hill, boasts perhaps the best view of San Francisco Bay and contains Grace Cathedral, a replica of Notre Dame in Paris; the Cable Car Museum, and Masonic Center, an architectural dazzler hosting various musical events.
Pacific Heights, is one of San Francisco’s prestigious neighborhoods. Stately Victorians crown hills blessed with glorious views. Consulates, finishing schools and condominiums share this tree- lined perch with the City’s wealthiest families.
Van Ness, is San Francisco’s widest street and runs straight down the middle of the Civic Center, an architectural wonder where the City’s symphony, opera and ballet dazzle audiences.
Western Addition, is one of the City’s most diverse areas, rich in varied heritages.
Haight-Ashbury, is where “the Summer of Love” lives on mainly in stores throughout this Victorian sector; vintage clothing, books and records are abundant along Haight Street.
The Marina, was developed on the site of the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and is a haven for joggers, sunbathers and kite flyers, inviting stores, restaurants and watering holes.
The Castro, known as “Gay Mecca”, is a series of imaginative boutiques, bookstores and bars, steep streets and brightly painted Victorian houses. Novelty items abound in shops, and one of the last grand movie palaces, The Castro Theatre, calls it home. Over 700,000 people “invade” Castro, and the surrounding neighborhoods, for the annual LGBT Pride Celebration & Parade – always held the last weekend in June.
Noe Valley, boasts a wide array of shops, public houses, out door cafes and restaurants, some slightly off-beat.
The Tenderloin, is a twenty square-block district west of Union Square and thousands of residents originally from Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam have given this area new life.
Richmond District, here it is possible to shop in a Russian grocery, sip a beer in an Irish pub and have dinner in a Chinese restaurant, all within short walking distance of one another.
Other neighborhoods or districts you might hear about during your time here in San Francisco: The Financial District; the Sunset District; Twin Peaks; Civic Center; South Beach; City Front; Fillmore; Russian Hill; Potrero Hill; Bernal Heights; Glen Park; Presidio; Sea Cliff.
