The ESPN Bassmasters Elite Bass Fishing Tournament comes to Charles County August 9 – 12, 2007. Professional Anglers will compete for prizes all four days with launch, weigh-in, and all official activities taking place at Smallwood State Park in Marbury, Maryland, just across Mattawoman Creek from Indian Head. On Saturday August 11, 2007, bring the whole family to Smallwood State Park for a BASS BASH in conjunction with the tournament. We’ll have food, fun, displays, and music. Best of all, the anglers won’t be the only ones competing for prizes. Any child up to age 12 can enter the BASS BASH COLORING CONTEST for a chance to win ice skating and rock climbing passes to the Capitol Clubhouse! Color the picture using your best creativity, then bring it to The Bass Bash on Saturday August 11, 2007. Or, you can create an entry at the event.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: • Age 5 and under • Age 6 – 8 • Age 9 – 12
Every child who enters the contest gets a BASS BASH Goody Bag! Artwork can be returned to contestants at their request, but the Charles County Office of Tourism reserves the right to use submissions in future tourism brochures or promotions.
