Darin Pantoomkomol, Piano and Guitar A jazz educator and performer, Darin Pantoomkomol was born in 1971 and began studying piano at the age of 8 and guitar at the age of 9. He graduated with a Bachelor and Master of Business Administration from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, and the University of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, respectively. Since his primary school days, Darin has had a strong interest in music, especially in the style of jazz. Accordingly, Darin started his first professional gig as a pianist at the age of 14, while studying in grade nine. As a performing musician, Darin has performed with several international jazz musicians such as Randy Brecker, Antonio Hart, Jakob Dinesen, Ulf Wakenius, Terumasa Hino, Tiger Okoshi, Jay Anderson, Lewis Nash, Randy Johnston, Pat Harbison, Fabrizio Bosso, Peter King, among others. Additionally, his various other musical interests have kept Darin active in Bangkok’s as well as southeast Asian mainstream music scene. Currently, he also enjoys his career on mainstream music composing/arranging, film music production, and studio musician. Darin Pantoomkomol has performed both as a leader and with Thailand’s leading jazz group, “Pomelo Town”, in many international music festival and concerts, e.g. Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2014 (Copenhagen, Denmark), Lion City Youth Jazz Festival 2018 (Singapore), World Saxophone Congress 2012 (Saint Andrews, Scotland), East Meets West Concert: Corfu Festival, (Corfu, Greece), , a Pomelo Town’s Concert at Weimar School of Music (Weimar, Germany), Ufa Jazz Master (Ufa, Russia), and many more. The Pomelo Town has released four Jazz albums, namely Chasin’ Saengrawee, Highway Bebop, Passage to the Origin, and A Tale from Pomelo Town. Darin Pantoomkomol joined the College of Music in 2005 and serves as a lecturer of applied jazz studies, Chair of the Jazz Department, and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research. .

Alice Ricciardi
ALICE RICCIARDI bio Italian jazz singer and composer Alice Ricciardi, born in Milan now living between Rome and New York, approached music at seven, attending the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan where she studied violin and piano. In 1998 she started studying jazz singing at "Accademia Internazionale della Musica" in Milan directed by Enrico Intra and Franco Cerri. In 2002 she achieved European diploma "F.N.E.I.J." (Fèdèration Nationale des Ecoles d' Inﬂuence Jazz et des Musiques Actuelles) in France, valid for the instruction of jazz and modern music in all Europe. She also studied with Rachel Gould in Italy, and with Jazz Legend Ran Blake in Boston. Award Winning 2nd prize at 2005 International Montreux Jazz Festival Voice Competition - Performer at 2006 IAJE Conference in New York and at Jazz at the Lincoln Center Dizzys Club. Not only is the 26th the late trumpeter’s birthday but many of his most enduring works were New York@Night recorded during this month, including the Charlie Parker All-Stars (1948); the 4 Miles Davis-Tadd Dameron Quintet’s run in Paris (1949), most of the Workin’, Steamin’ and Relaxin’ triumvirate by the quintet with John Coltrane (1956), Miles Interview: Vince Giordano Ahead and At Carnegie Hall, both with the Gil Evans Orchestra (1957 and 1961 6 by Michael Hittman respectively); and the bulk of Miles in the Sky (1968).
