Bellis, the No. 2-ranked junior in the world from Atherton, Calif., beat 16-year old , the 2013 US Open junior finalist from Boca Raton, Fla., 6-3, 6-1, at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego on Saturday, becoming the youngest USTA Girls’ 18s national champion since also won it at 15 in 1991. Cincinnati’s John McNally, a U.S. Junior team member, added to his 16s National Clay Court title by sweeping last week’s 16s singles and doubles championships, beating Connor Hance, of Torrance, Calif., 6-4, 6-4, for the singles title and pairing with Gianni Ross, of Burr Ridge, Ill., to win the doubles championship.
