Driving from Harwich, you can drive into a haven of piece and tranquillity of some of the most beautiful English landscapes in the UK.

Follow the main A12 road from to just north of , take the A120 to Harwich.

From Cambridge you take the A14 straight to , then the A45 bypass round Ipswich, the A137 to Manningtree, and from there follow signs to Harwich.

From Norwich you take the A140 to north of Ipswich, then the A45 bypass round Ipswich, the A137 to Manningtree, and from there follow signs to Harwich.

However, if you prefer the short sea crossings from Calais to Dover there is the award-winning seafrance Rodin which is the fastest ferry on the Dover to Calais route.
