Siddharth Mehra of 2016 batch, has achieved acclaim in both National and International Shooting Championships. At the International level, he has won the Team Bronze medals in various Sports Events. At the National level. he has many Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to his credit.

INTER- SCHOOL ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP

Summer Fields School has been hosting the Inter-School Roller Skating Championship for the last 29 years in which many leading schools of Delhi and N.C.R. have been participating most enthusiastically. This Two Day mega event witnesses participation of around 450 students from 40 schools. The events include Artistic Skating, Pair Skating, Individual and Team events. Generally Summer Fields School lifts the Rolling Trophy each year but being the host school, the Trophy is passed onto the School bagging the Second Position.

CBSE NATIONAL ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP HELD AT DAV INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, AMRITSAR

Aman Kumar Lahar of Class-VII-D participated in CBSE National Roller Skating Championship held at DAV International School, Amritsar from 29th December 2016 to 1st January 2017. He won a Gold Medal in 1000 meters Rink Race in the age group of 10-12 years, where more than 1000 participants took part in the championship from all over India.

Aman Lahar of Class VIII-D participated in various levels of skating competition during 2016-17.

 Aman Lahar won gold medal and cash prize of Rs. 2,000 in Inter School Skating Championship held at Sirifort Stadium, on 18th April 2017.  He also participated in all India Inter School Roller Skating Championship on 17th April 2017.  Aman Lahar got cheque of Rs. 30,000 in Chhatrasaal Stadium, from Delhi Govt. for his performance in 2016 National Championship.

INTER KRM FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The Inter KRM Football league was hosted by KRM VikasPuri from the 29th to 30th of Jan, 2018 in the under 14 category. The students brought laurels to their Alma Mater.

 Our school secured 1st position in the boys under 14 category and in the girls under 14 category and was declared the OVERALL CHAMPION.  Emad Ahmed VIII D and KritikaVerma VIII A, were adjudged the Best Strikers and Garima Sharma VIII A was awarded the Best Goalkeeper.

ARYABHATTA INTER-SCHOOL MATHEMATICS COMPETITION

Aryabhatta Inter-School Mathematics Competition was initiated by Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony, New Delhi in 1982 with the aim of exploring and sharpening the minds of young Mathematicians. Students from various prestigious and prominent schools participate enthusiastically. A wide participation and over whelming response by the schools has made this competition as one of the most sought after competition in Mathematics.This year witnessed the participation of 107 schools from Delhi and N.C.R. with an overwhelming 3210 entries of budding mathematicians. The main objective of this competition is to cultivate positive and scientific approach towards Mathematics and to strengthen the mathematical capabilities of the next generation of problem solvers. This Competition helps to identify talent and foster a love of Mathematics.

KUSH ARORA'S STELLAR PERFORMANCE IN INTERNATIONAL COMPANY SECRETARIES OLYMPIAD (ICSO)

Kush Arora of XII C secured 8th rank Internationally in the SOF INTERNATIONAL COMPANY SECRETARIES OLYMPIAD (ICSO).

Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony, became the winner of “Disney India’s Friends for Change 2015- 2016,” for bringing impressive changes to Shri Mahavirji Mandir Park.

CONSERVE MY PLANET CHAMPIONSHIP 2016

Summer Fields School bagged the Trophy for, ‘BEST GREEN PRACTICES IN SCHOOL AND OUTSIDE SCHOOL’. Mehak Kapoor of VII F, the Green Ambassador from our school for this initiative won an award for her Model and Presentation.

CMS-VATAVARAN - 2016

Summer Fields School won Second Prize in the Venue Decoration Competition on the theme ‘Water and Climate Change’. Several students won prizes in other categories like Slogan Competition, Quiz Competition etc.

FACE TO FAITH ACTIVITY

In an endeavor to foster the students’ capabilities and capacity for service to the community, the Face to Faith students organized an On the Spot Painting Competition for the children living in a slum near, INA, Delhi on Friday, January 20, 2017.

PROJECT CITIZEN - 2017

The Summer Fields School team took up the problem of Cyber Bullying among the teenagers. They have linked themselves with the ‘Cyber Crime’ branch of Delhi Police, so as to be effective crusaders of cyber bullying. On 30th October, 2017, the ‘Cyber Police’ showcased their efforts in Ramjas School, R.K. Puram. They were awarded the title of ‘Excellent Presentation’, thus winning accolades for Summer Fields School once again!

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE - 2017

Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal launched a massive Tree Plantation Drive on Saturday, 8th September, 2018 to plant five lakh trees at 600 locations in entire Delhi to make Delhi Green and Pollution free.

The students of Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony, actively participated in the Drive. The School Principal Dr Neeru Suman and other teachers accompanied the students to plant saplings in our school premises.

Students of Class III duly escorted by teachers were taken to the City Forest, Greater Kailash II, New Delhi to participate in the Tree Plantation Drive inaugurated by the local M.L.A., Mr. Saurabh Bharadwaj.

MUSIC - ANVESHAN 2016

Summer Fields School was declared Runners up in the National Level Project Based Music Competition held on 5thOctober 2016.

ZONAL INTER -SCHOOL, QAWWALI SINGING COMPETITION

Our School hosted an Inter- School Qawwali Competition in which we scored the First Position in Girls’ category.

PAINTING

Zone – 25 Painting Competition was held in Summer Fields School on 01 August 2017 in which 39 schools participated. Our Students Satvika Shriyadarshini of Class VIII F and Shubhangi Das of Class IX bagged First Position in both the categories.

Satvika Shriyadarshini won the II Prize from Lalit Kala Academy for her painting on the theme 'Green India Clean India'.

Shubhangi Das of Class IX won the Third Prize and received a cheque of Rs. 10,000 ,and also SatvikaShriyadarshini won Consolation Prize and received a cheque of Rs. 5,000 in the Painting Competition held by Power Finance.

INTER-SCHOOL COMPETITIONS

A group of 15 students from our school participated in various competitions held at K. R. Mangalam World School, Vaishali on 26th April 2018, where they won accolades for the performances. First Prize was bagged for TRIVIA CRACK (MATHS) Competition, Third Prize for an event – RELIVE THE ERA and Consolation Prizes for A GERMAN FASHION SHOW and HINDI (CHITRA LEKHAN).

In another competition held on 27th April 2018, our school sent 19 students to participate for an event, BAL KAVI (SANSKRIT) and they were awarded Second Prize for their outstanding performance in the Competition.

On 2 6th October, 3 students of Classes VI- VIII participated in “Maths Quiz” held at K.R Mangalam World School , Greater . Pranjal Shahi (VI), Abhigyan Roy (VII) and Devanshu Anand (VIII) won FIRST Position.

On 17th November, 9 students of classes VII-X Participated in 'Art Poetica' held at Delhi Public School ,R.K Puram . Armaan Ahmed (X-D) and Bharat Kishore Mehra(X-A) won Third Position in Artistic Poesy.

On 8th February 2019,6 students were awarded by INTACH for making ‘Best Informative Movie’ which was uploaded by them in the month of January.

Hemakshi Kohli of Class IX-A bagged 'Youth Camp Scholarship‘ at Bhimtal organised by Goethe Institute at Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi.She bagged the Second Prize in the Quiz Competition.

In the Annual Show of AIKGA (All India Kitchen Garden Association) this year, Ambalika Lamba, who was the youngest member of AIKGA from class VII-B participated with her individual flower and plant entries. A Tray Garden created in a small cup and saucer by Ambalika won the First Prize at the show and so did the Pansy and Dianthusis grown by her.

Ria Singhal who secured 100 in Business Studies under the guidance of Ms.Shivani Nagrath were both felicitated by the Commerce Teacher’s Foundation, CFT in ABHINANDAN Felicitation Function.

Nitish Gupta, Kush Arora, Ria Singhal, Shweta Mondal and Meesha Jain secured the 3rd Position in the National Case Study Competition organized by the Institute of Management Accountants, USA. They received an award of Rs. 20,000.

SUMMER FIELDS HOSTED THE 5th LIFE SKILLS, VALUES, GENDER, SCHOOL HEALTH AND WELL BEING INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT - 2017

Summer Fields hosted the 5thLife Skills, Values, Gender, School Health and Well Being International Summit were organized by Expressions India, from 6th-8thDecember, 2016. Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament,New Delhi was the Chief Guest. She was joined by Shri Malay Mukerjee Chairman and Managing Director-IFCI, New Delhi.

700 enthusiastic students from over 65 schools from all over India participated in the Summit.

INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATION

The project “Indo-German classroom” was supervised and funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Goethe-Institut New Delhi / Max Mueller Bhavan in common.

In the Second consecutive innings of 'Indo- German Classroom', students' exchange programme (2015-16) , Summer Fields School Kailash Colony, New Delhi, and the Karl Schmidt-Rottluff Gymnasium, Chemnitz worked together on the project “Solar Energy – to secure our future”.

This year, ten students from standard IX accompanied by two teachers, Mrs. Sunita Chaudhary and Mrs. Jahanvi Mishra visited Chemnitz, Germany from 1st November to 11th October, 2015.

Parinay Gupta of Class IX - A, got a splendid opportunity to represent our nation, India in ‘The Cities For Life Summit’ held In Paris, France, on 21st November, 2016.

Students of Class X of our school participated in an Art Competition on the theme DIVERSITY organized by the High Commission of Canada.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD 2015-18

The school is contesting for the prestigious British Council ISA award for the third time in 2017. As a prerequisite, the students of Classes I – X are involved in various activities in collaboration with their international counterparts. Class-V students worked on the project ‘Recycling’ and had a skype session with Temai Language School, Egypt who also worked on the same project. Students from both countries showed their work to each other and discussed various techniques adopted for recycling in Egypt. Similarly, Class-VI & VII worked on theme ‘Air Pollution’ and collaborated with ‘Ad Dua Educational System School’ in Rawalpindi, Pakistan for the same.

ASTRONAUT TRAINING EXPERIENCE (ATX) AT KENNEDY SPACECENTRE, NASA

Summer Fields School, in line with its continued efforts to provide international exposure to its students in order to prepare them as global citizens, once again gave them an opportunity to visit NASA as a part of 10- day (27thMay to 7th June 2017 ),‘Science & Adventure’ trip to USA.

15 students, along with two teachers MsAmita Gulati &Ms Kulwinder Kaur attended the memorable and life changing journey full of experiential learning.

The month of July 2016, Isaac Ball and Emily Fowler of Rowland Hall High School visited and stayed with the girls wherein they explored the rich and diverse culture of India and learnt a lot about its ethnicity. They visited Salt lake City, Utah, USA in the month of October 2016 and stayed with Isaac and Emily and studied in Rowland Hall High School.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD 2018-2021

Summer Fields School has been conferred the British Council International School Award for a period of three years from 2018-2021. The award was presented at the award ceremony organised by the British Council on 5th December, 2018.

A team of 14 teachers, under the guidance of ISA Co-ordinator Ms. Amita Gulati, won the award with a 100% score of 49/49 points. Students from classes Pre-primary to Class-X were involved and they successfully collaborated with their counterparts from USA, Egypt, Lebanon, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Srilanka for a number of activities.

An educational trip to National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), as a part of 10-day trip to USA was organised by Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony during the summer vacations. On 17th June midnight, 12 students from Summer Fields School, along with one teacher Ms Urvashi Malhotra packed their bags and set their foot on a memorable and life changing journey full of experiential learning.

Ms Shivani Nagrath, HOD Commerce conducted the Two Day Capacity Building Programme in Business Studies as Resource Person at CBSE Centre of Excellence, Kolkata and Delhi in January and February, 2018.

The programme was organized by CBSE for the purpose of meeting the professional development needs of teachers of the affiliated schools, through the Board’s Centre of Excellence.
