NORTHERN HEARTLANDS Song of Our Heartland was planned as one of Opera North’s largest ever community projects. Commissioned by Northern Heartlands, the Great Place scheme for County Durham, this new community opera was written by Durham-born composer Will Todd, with a storyline by director Caroline Clegg and libretto by Emma Jenkins.
