These budget- friendly packages enhance the Hall of Fame experience in Canton by bringing fans closer to the Class of 2019 Enshrinees and Gold Jackets (a term used for living Hall of Famers) than ever before. A variety of ticket packages, starting at $299, provide fans with VIP experiences, premium seating at events, and parties with Hall of Famers. Packages range from event day offerings to four-day experiences that include a multitude of exclusive extras. Five new package levels have been added at various price points and days. The 2019 Hall of Fame Game featuring the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos kicks off the NFL’s 100th season on Thursday, Aug. 1 in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Festivities continue with the Gold Jacket Dinner Friday evening and the Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday for the Class of 2019 – CHAMP BAILEY, PAT BOWLEN, GIL BRANDT, TONY GONZALEZ, TY LAW, KEVIN MAWAE, ED REED and JOHNNY ROBINSON. The weekend concludes on Sunday, Aug. 4 with the Enshrinees Roundtable and the Concert for Legends featuring Imagine Dragons. DERRICK BROOKS & DAVE ROBINSON INSPIRE STUDENTS The Heart of a Hall of Famer series, powered by Extreme Networks, provides students the opportunity to learn first-hand what it took beyond athletic ability for legendary Heroes of the Game to achieve success on and off the field. The program focuses on the Hall of Fame’s core values of commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence. On Monday, Hall of Famers DAVE ROBINSON and DERRICK BROOKS took part in a Heart of a Hall of Famer program. Robinson was on hand at the Hall in Canton while Brooks joined via video conference to help inspire more than 200 local youth and countless others through Facebook Live. Many northeast Ohio schools and organizations were represented in the audience including: Malvern High School, Lisbon David Anderson High School, Barberton High School, Revere High School, CommQuest, Tri-Valley High School, Stark County YMCA, Briar Middle School, Summit Academy Secondary Canton, and Massillon Washington High School.     PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME TEACHER ACTIVITY GUIDE 2019-2020 EDITIOn PHILADELPHIA EAGLES Team History The Eagles have been a Philadelphia institution since their beginning in 1933 when a syndicate headed by the late Bert Bell and Lud Wray purchased the former Frankford Yellowjackets franchise for $2,500. In 1941, a unique swap took place between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh that saw the clubs trade home cities with Alexis Thompson becoming the Eagles owner. In 1943, the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh franchises combined for one season due to the manpower shortage created by World War II. The team was called both Phil-Pitt and the Steagles. Greasy Neale of the Eagles and Walt Kiesling of the Steelers were co-coaches and the team finished 5-4-1. Counting the 1943 season, Neale coached the Eagles for 10 seasons and he led them to their first significant successes in the NFL. Paced by such future Pro Football Hall of Fame members as running back Steve Van Buren, center-linebacker Alex Wojciechowicz, end Pete Pihos and beginning in 1949, center-linebacker Chuck Bednarik, the Eagles dominated the league for six seasons. They finished second in the NFL Eastern division in 1944, 1945 and 1946, won the division title in 1947 and then scored successive shutout victories in the 1948 and 1949 championship games. A rash of injuries ended Philadelphia’s era of domination and, by 1958, the Eagles had fallen to last place in their division. That year, however, saw the start of a rebuilding program by a new coach, Buck Shaw, and the addition of quarterback Norm Van Brocklin in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams.

By Ryan O’Halloran Denver Post March 13, 2019 Fifteen things about the first two days of the NFL’s free agent negotiating period: 1. The “legal tampering” window should be abolished. First, the name is stupid. Second, it serves no purpose. The league should announce the date and time when signings and trades can be executed and every team can start from there. No negotiating window. No players potentially backing out on verbal agreements (like linebacker Anthony Barr did Tuesday, returning to Minnesota after committing to the Jets). No having to talk about “intends to sign with,” “agree to terms,” and other mumbo jumbo. 2. Did the Broncos get better by trading for quarterback Joe Flacco and agreeing to terms with right tackle Ju’Wuan James and cornerback/safety Kareem Jackson? Easy question. Tough answer. 3. The Broncos did upgrade at quarterback — we’ve made that clear. They definitely got better at No. 2 cornerback (Jackson instead of Bradley Roby). Right tackle is a tough one. When healthy, Jared Veldheer was more than serviceable. But in making James the league’s highest-paid right tackle (four years, $51 million), general manager John Elway is expecting improvement for at least the next three years. 4. OK, the Broncos are better at three positions. But does that move them up a rung into the AFC West and into wild-card contention? Not yet. Unless something develops out of thin air, they’re waiting to address tight end until the draft and should also add a cornerback, a cover linebacker, a safety and multiple offensive linemen.

The subtle signs have been apparent for decades to anyone now searching for the answer to the most important football question in Denver: Who will be entrusted in the future with the team’s championship dreams? Well, perhaps the first clue could be found way back in 1998, during the celebration of the team’s first Super Bowl victory. Brittany Bowlen was a child born into Broncomania. It’s in her blood. But as the throng in Civic Center Park cheered quarterback John Elway’s successful quest for the Lombardi Trophy on that winter afternoon back in ’98, and a triumphant Pat Bowlen raised his hands in salute to the raucous crowd, a little blonde girl, no more than 8 years old at the time, stood stoically alongside the team’s owner, her arms snugly folded across her tiny chest, in a serious pose almost identical to one often struck by her father during pensive moods. Like father, like daughter. More than two decades after that open-air party in downtown Denver to toast victory in Super Bowl XXXII, during a break Friday in the celebration for the long-overdue induction of Mr. B to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Brittany Bowlen, now 29 years old, stood alongside the lockers in the hallways of a Canton school and confessed: “I do find myself, once in a while, being with my friends and saying: ‘Is anybody having any fun around here?’” Before her next breath, she rushed to cover her mouth with a hand.
