CANTON, OHIO – The following is a sampling of events, happenings and notes that highlight how the Pro Football Hall of Fame serves its important mission to “Honor the Heroes of the Game, Preserve its History, Promote its Values & Celebrate Excellence EVERYWHERE!”

14 BRONZED BUSTS TRAVEL TO FOR EAGLES FANTENNIAL The Pro Football Hall of Fame sent the Bronzed Busts of 14 Eagles Legends to Philadelphia for the Eagles Fantennial Festival taking place as part of the ’s 100th Season.

The busts will be on display during “Eagles Fantennial Festival – Birds. Bites. Beer.” at the Cherry Street Pier on Saturday, Sept. 21 and at prior to the Eagles game agains the Lions on Sunday, Sept. 22.

BILLY SHAW TOOK PART IN THE HEART OF A HALL OF FAMER PROGRAM The Heart of a Hall of Famer series, powered by Extreme Networks, provides students the opportunity to learn first-hand what it took beyond athletic ability for legendary Heroes of the Game to achieve success on and off the field. The program focuses on the Hall of Fame’s core values of commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence.

On Tuesday, BILLY SHAW took part in a Heart of a Hall of Famer program via video conference from the Hall’s studio in Canton and connected with students from New York Tennessee and Wisconsin.

“What is your teammate? You can’t do it alone,” Shaw shared. “You have got to have teammates who are dedicated, love the game and because of their contribution, you get the reward. Every time I look at a trophy or think about being in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, there are a lot of people you have to stop and thank.”

PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME RING OF EXCELLENCE CEREMONIES

Throughout the 2019 NFL season, the Class of 2019 will receive their Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence created by Kay® Jewelers during halftime ceremonies at their former teams’ games. The newest members of the Hall of Fame will be presented their rings by Hall of Fame President & CEO David Baker.

This weekend, will become the first member of the Class of 2019 to receive his Ring of Excellence (pictured) at Gillette Stadium.

MUSEUM DAY The Pro Football Hall of Fame is participating in the 2019 Museum Day Celebration hosted by Smithsonian Magazine.

September 16-19, 2020 A once-in-every- other-lifetime celebration to kick off the NFL’s next century in the city where the league was born.

Museum Day is a one-day event in which participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. As a part of this celebration, the Hall is offering free admission to those who register for the Museum Day offer. Each Museum Day ticket provides free admission for two people tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019. Guests must present valid Museum Day ticket at the Hall of Fame box office. The Hall of Fame is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

FROM THE , JR. PRO FOOTBALL RESEARCH & PRESERVATION CENTER: The Ralph Wilson, Jr. Pro Football Research & Preservation Center is home to the world’s largest collection on football including a personal legacy archive on every player who has competed in the NFL since its founding in 1920. Contained inside the archives are more than 40 million pages of documents and six million photographic images.

Staff help a variety of patrons from fans, researchers, authors, and students as well as serving as a resource of information to the National Football League, its 32 clubs and members of the media.

HALL OF FAMERS ENSHRINED IN THE SAME YEAR FROM THE SAME COLLEGE Since the first Class to be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, 15 pairs of Hall of Famers enshrined in the same year attended the same college.

Construction on Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village, a mixed-use development project, is under way in Canton to transform the Hall of Fame’s campus.
